My wife had hers stolen right out of the place where your child goes. She had it strapped in, but it was taken when she turned her back for 1/2 second.

Don't let this happen to you!

I usually put it in the bigger part of the carriage, but it could be stolen just as easily, thanks for sharing your story, it'll make us all think twice. I'm so sorry this happened to you and your wife.

Wow! That's too bad that happened. That's where I normally put my purse too, but the first few things I get I put right on top of my purse. That probably wouldn't help, but at least buy a little time if somebody tried to take it.

I will definitely be more attentive while shopping.

If I know I'm going to the grocery store I will either keep it on my shoulder or just take my wallet and keys (to keep in my pocket). I am sorry that your wife's purse was stolen. I know how that feels. Did the store have surveillance cameras?

I put it in the child seat area BUT....It has a long enough strap that it is attatched to my wrist at all times and stays zipped shut. If I can't reach something with one hand I put it back on my shoulder. Same cautions used when loading the car in the parking lot.

I say keep your purse on your person. That way whoever wants it will have to decide with they want to draw attention to themselves when the purse owner makes a scene when the thieif tries to take it. Inconvenient, yes. But the inconvenience of losing everything is worse.

I am sorry that happened to your wife. I recently started bringing only my wallet and coupons into the grocery store with me in my coat pocket.

My purse stays on my shoulder. I never leave it in the basket under any circumstances.

I leave my purse at home. I only take my money or cards in my pocket when I leave to go shopping!

I do the same thing as she does.... what a shame this happened to her. I am so sorry. I'll think twice now, about doing it again. I'll keep it on my shoulder.

Thanks for the info.
