Yes, unless they are on a religious fast, and as long as the food is healthy for them in their present state.
Namaste.

Well they might be fasting. It IS done in several religions.
If that's the case simply ask them why they haven't eaten if you can. If they look sick, with bowel problems, dry mouth, dull eyes, lack of energy, lack of coherence, unconciousness, or any of these symptoms take that person to a hospital.
Save them some time and tell them any medical history you know about that person.
Rapid weight gain is very dangerous, as with rapid weight loss. Both should be done responsibly and gradually. If you see this person gaining large amounts of weight ask the doctor in charge about it. Everyone makes mistakes except when they're preventable.
Good luck.

It depends on how much and what the food is. It has to be some food to replace the essential minerals and nutritions that the body has lost. The body needs to restore it's phosphates and iimmune system. And you want to give them enough for them to do just that but not too much because their body has to adjust to eating again within that past week the body has become accustomed to starving so take it slow.

It depends on the food you give them. If you haven't eaten in a day or so, you need to eat light first, go for a subway sandwich instead of McDonald's or Pizza. But it's better than nothing.

Well...you are helping them...if it doesn't make them sick..when you don't eat for a long time, you have to introduce food slowly back into your system..yes, I would say anything you can do for someone that is good for the body, would be benificial.

Better to give them food than to give them money to spend on Crack or Wine and still be hungry.

Of course. You have to eat to live, and starving-- what an awfully slow and painful way to die!
