spread your cheeks wide and put your jacket under your bum, in between your cheeks as far and discreetly as you can. When you fart, it WILL be muffled. I've done so many times. It will work. Try it. I assure you, best wishes for making a genuine impression. Cheers.

wear a cheek separator as it will keep the noise down from excessive cheek flapping, won't solve the stinkage issue tho....blame that on the dog.
