Why do girls wear this at church? I mean they could dress decently, and then wear this outside of church. And then they wonder why men follow them and crimes are committed. I say these girls attract the wrong attention purposely.... your thoughts.....

and then they wear these cheesy flip flops like they just got off the beach or something. Sorry girls, why do you want dress like this, because if a man raped you, you would NEVER dress like this at church or a decent public function.

Even though the Bible does indeed say " Come as You are ", it does not allow for anyone to dress this way. First and foremost, it takes away from who people judge you to be. NO one wants to be judged in the first place.
Secondly, . . . .You are taking away from the minister who is trying to pose his message to you the Church. !
Women, beware, . . . . .you are not just taking away from the minister, you are taking away from GOD the time that is to be shared to Glorify HIM only, not yourselves. Yes, be comfortable but, . . .not like a cheap piece trash to be trodden down by the way side for people to look down to and to make fun of you. YOU ARE TO GLORIFY GOD, and Him only. !!!!!!

First of all, I don't dress like this and I have had many incidents of harassment from men. Some men--not all--just don't know how to act. It's not always about wearing baggy clothes because men are "visual" creatures and can warp anything into something sexual if their minds are intent on doing so. I'm sick of the excuses.
A woman should be able to wear what she chooses. And about the church thing...just do as your Holy Book commands and leave the judging to God. I am not saying that anyone has to believe in the Bible but if you're going to church I assume you do.

I agree with you that young girls are allowed to dress much too provocatively. It's a shame that parents allow their girls to dress this way. But, with both parents working, there is no time or energy left to argue, much less instill values.
Most importantly, rape is a HATE crime, a crime of violence, not a sex crime. It has more to do with how a man feels about women in general or a particular woman. Perhaps one that brought him up, or perhaps because his father was a violent man.
There is nothing you can do if the parents won't step in and make a stand, and they couldn't possibly do that because "everybody else is doing it" and we wouldn't want our girl to feel left out or be different than the crowd. Peer pressure is such a strong influence- even in the grown up world.

You're not going to choose me as the best answer bc I'm arguing against you so I might as well argue.
Girls do not tell guys to rape them. They don't ask them to. They wear the clothes that they want for different reasons. Some girls wear them because they are in style, some girls do it for attention, etc. Girls do not wear them for negative attention. They should not even have to worry about guys touching or raping them. Guys should have the decency not to do that. Raping girls should be blamed on the men and not on the women. Guys dress distastfully sometimes but us women don't rape them (forceful, non-consensually) as guys do girls. Guys act like animals, they just need somewhwhere to put their d***s, so why not rape some girl in trashy clothes? I agree with you that a girl shouldn't wear that stuff to church, but women are at no fault for being victims of rape. Men are ******** who can't control themselves. For "pleasure" they can read dirty magazines, watch porn, hire a stripper, whatever. They have no right to physically assault and violate a girl because she is wearing skimpy clothing. She has a right to express herself as she chooses and any guy who can't control himself is the one at fault.

Funny that you mention this. I used to go to a church where one high school girl in particular would wear skimpy skirts and backless or strapless tops. A couple of months after watching her come to church in skimpier and skimpier clothes, she wound up pregnant.

Maybe these young girls have no other clothes to wear?
Shouldn't you be glad that they are at church and faithful instead of worrying about what they are wearing?
Worry about your own faith and actions -- be a good Christian and help them follow their faith.
What is that quote about the letting those without sin cast the first stone???

Look sinner,
Why are you looking at girls at church? I assume you went there to focus on God!
If you are lusting after them, go to a pastor and ask them to make an announcement saying it is a stumbling block to your weak faith and would they please dress differently.
The girls have the freedom in Crist to dress themselves, don't blame them blame your weak faith for the problem!
if you are offended by this answer read this!
