I really don't have 'in the office' pet peeves right now because I get along great with everyone I currently work with. However, not too long ago, there was a girl here who was a major suckup to the boss. It seemed she purposely went out of her way to sabatoge me and others, and then would act totally clueless. So long story short - kissups are a big pet peeve of mine!

I work with a girl who takes everyones work supplies. I don't work in an office, but we all have certain supplies that we need for work and she steals them all and hides them. It's not even done as a joke, which I could totally respect, but she does it because she's afraid that she's going to run out of supplies so she hordes them. It's very strange behavor for a grown person. She leaves the rest of us scouring for supplies while she sits back with a way more than enough. We just can't figure out where she's hiding them. since we found her last stash, she's gotten a new hiding place

I always have to justify myself to my peers just to be understood. It's like there's a hidden standard that is not vocalized, but by the way they look at you or the way they act, you kinda feel that there's something that you've done or said that needs justifying. Gossiping is also one thing that I hate the most, because people waste their time talking about the negative aspects of another person and forget the fact that they themselves are not perfect.

More than anything it is people who dress like slobs. Even if they can not afford real expensive clothes, they can wear something at least business casual such as khakis and a dress shirt or top. 2nd on ly list would be coworkers who spend all of their time bragging about how much work they do instead of working.

Co-workers in the next cube talking on the phone like they're at a football game. I thought everyone learned the difference between inside voices and outside voices when they were little! Oh - and let me not forget when co-workers eat boiled eggs for their midday snack. The odor is horrendous!

Well, I used to work with this lady who always had a cup of ice and crunched it all day with her mouth open. Talk about annoying!!
But in general, I think people who have no regard for those around them and talk like they were in an open field (loud!) or continually talk about their personal life as if nobody else is around. I don't want to hear about all their crap!!

People who insist on showing up sick - coughing and snotting everywhere. Like they're going to get extra points from the bosses showing that they will work sick; whilst contaminating the entire office at the same time.

Mine is lack of social skills, specifically when I say "good morning" or "hello" to someone and they don't even bother responding. There always seems to be one person like this in an office. I feel like they should at least say "good morning" in return.
But then I figure it must annoy them if I continue to say it, so I do, even if they don't respond. :)

People who scuttle to your office after you have sent an e-mail explaining everything and they want to go over the identical information verbally.
Woman I knew did this all the time. After I would send her an e-mail (only if I had to) I would 'count down' the seconds that it took her to scuttle over to me. Ten..nine..eight..seven..etc., LAUNCH!
