Please can someone (male or female) explain this to me.

Guys... do you do it? If yes, then why?
Ladies... do you mind if ur b/f does it? Do you do it too?

I know I wouldn't feel right leaving the house without underwear on.

Sometimes my workmates or just other people ask me to do stuff and I don't want to. Not close friends who I would just tell the truth to but people I don't know that well. I always end up making lame excuses. Or I say I will show then give my excuse later. I know if I say I have a previous thing on they will ask what and I feel its rude to say thats personal. Whats the best way to get out of these things and still remain all friendly. I just got invited to a party and i hate parties.

So my assistant is new to the area, she seems to have moved away from a lot of her old problems, but her grown daughter and son seem to cause her some major issues. Every couple of days, right when I come to work I get a complete, often grotesque update on the personal lives of her children.

I know she doesn’t have many friends, at least locally, but every once in a while, I would like to hear good news, or anything rather than hearing about her daughters new fling. I feel like a hypocrite, as I want to listen to her, but I take it very seriously, and it is an emotional drain.

Any ideas on how to “lighten the mood” a little, I respect her as a person, and I would like to help out, but this stuff really is not my problem.

How can I put a stop to it? I don't want to be mean, but I don't want to drive her anymore. It's okay if it's once in a while, but she keeps asking for a ride since it's on the way home. She doesn't even offer money for gas, and even if she did I don't want it. I just want to get off work, and drive home. I had to lie to her sometimes just so I wouldn't have to drive her off. But is there a better way?

There's a guy my friends and I sit with at lunch, and we'll be talk about something, and mention the color black, and be talking about someone's shirt color. And he'll go "That's racist" What's a good comeback we can say to him to make him shut up with his inappropriate comment?

1.you're going to pay the tips according to the tipping policies anyway, so this is a great convenience and service.

2.I'll pay according to the actual customer service, not some tipping policy that dictates what I must pay regardless of service.

3.I usually pay the minimum amout of tips according to the tipping policies but if the service is outstanding, I would like to pay more in my own terms, instead of mandatory fixed gratuity.

4.other.explain.

My neighbors LOVE to have sex. That's great and all, but I feel like I'm listening to porn. I'm probably not going to do anything, but I want to hear what you would do or have done to neighbors who want to share their love with the world (heh heh heh)!

Is it just me? or does it bug the hell out of you when people do that? Oh I cant type that fast but I have to be the first person to answer. Let me go check.

Why do they do this? I never give thumbs down besides that when I see it happen. People might think who gave that person a thumbs down. It was because of the answer I read.

Dont you think they should just answer they question when they are done, and not jack the system so they can be the first or second one to answer it?

One on my housemates does this and when I turn it down, because I'm pretty sure it only needs to be on 60 or 40 degrees, they just turn it back up. Is it me or are they seriously wasting energy and costing me money?

I just came back from my BIL's house. He had my 3 kids, his mom, live in girlfriend, his son and me to his apartment for my daughter's birthday because he couldn't make her party which was yesterday.

He had a pizza and an ice cream birthday cake. I knew he was getting the cake.

I baked them an apple pie and brought it with me (thinking how good it was going to taste with the ice cream!)

When it came time for cake the ice cream cake went out and the pie stayed on the counter.

Was this just rude on their part, or was it rude on my part to bring a second dessert?

My father fought in the second World war and in my family we always observe the silence, yet these days it seems that noone bothers. Even in the schools they no longer stop lessons to take the two minutes out to remember. This infuriates and upsets me. At work it is hardly ever mentioned. I am so glad that this year the 11th falls on a Sunday, so I will be able to observe my silence along with those who attend the service at Whitehall. Am I alone, old fashioned and grumpy?? Is there anyone out there who believes that we SHOULD 'remember them', as the poem says???? It can't be my age, as even my 15 year old finds it unacceptable. What does everyone think?

People are making a big deal that Obama didn't put his hand on his heart during the National Anthem. I am a conservative Christian Republican and I don't put my hand on my heart. What is the rule? I know you do for the Pledge but do you have to for the National Anthem too?
