Yes, there are MANY places and people that will treat you differently according to your size! Since 60% of American women are overweight, I can honestly tell you that heavy people DO work as hard as anybody else. Being thinner does not make you a better person. Overweight people are just as smart, hardworking and innovative as anyone else. I don't care about studies trying to say otherwise because there are also studies that prove that overweight people are as good as anyone else! Most people get unhappy at work if they are disrespected for one reason or another... Overweight people are smart, talented, romantic and great lovers in bed, too. It is very unfortunate that so many people are so SHALLOW about weight. I have seen many thin people who are LAZY, dirty, stupid, and they aren't worth a cat's bum. Men are particularly more shallow about a woman's weight because they're dogs to begin with. The fattest man still desires the thinnest woman. SHALLOW. Most overweight people do NOT become heavy by "shoving massive amounts of food into their mouths." People become obese by eating the wrong foods and lack of exercise, genetics, medications, disabilities. Some are overeaters, but not everyone. People are idiots about obesity.

Yes I agree with your mother. I too lost a lot of weight and am treated much better than I was when I was heavy. People are more friendly, and men in particular act more respectful.

Personally speaking, I'm 5'10 and 330 lbs. and I'm listened to. It's the attitude you use. You could be the best looking guy out there, but if you're a jerk, your true colors will come out.

Actually, studies at UCLA have shown that a thinner person will enjoy better office interaction than a heavier person; it's the idea that the larger person will not work as hard because of their weight. It's sad but true.
**Hope that helps**

that could happen but it is stupid,
so if you have an overweight that is always on track, and a thin person that doesnt know what they are doing, there still gonna respect the thin one?

More likely, your Mom is more upbeat & has a positive outlook on things. Size really has nothing to do with it. At least it shouldn't.

i agree.. i have no respect for people who shove mass amounts of food in their pie hole and then whine about being fat or blame some genetic issue.. that's a load of BS
people whine about smokers causeing the health system to get overburden... i think the real truth is too much fat
but of course that's not political correctness to say that...
