If it's on the way what is your problem?
have you noticed all the warnings about "global warming" ?
taking this co-worker home could be your way to help the planet and reduce your carbon footprint!
So if your whole point is you don't want to take her, I can probably assume you haven't asked for a little gas money off her?
I think you need to sort out your morals mate, being nice, helping global warming and making someone else happy is surely better than having a drive home alone "just because you prefer it"
SO, Actually your not looking for the best wat to solve this dilemma just some excuses to get her off your back, what is the car gold plated, a security truck? why would your father not want her in his car if your doing something good?
you might have fooled some of the other people on here but I'm not buying it, stick your ride.....
just ask your question to your co worker, she probably has more sense than you and will tell you the same!

First, if you ever do take her home, tell her she will need to pitch in for gas, tell her this in advance of taking her and ask for the money prior to the ride. I know this is tough to do, it floors me that so many people will freely ask for rides and not offer gas money! But just do it, you'll feel better in the long run (plus she may opt out of asking for the ride once it's no longer free!) if she doesn't pay for gas up front, tell her it's not an option to catch a ride...
Second, if you just straight up do not want her with you, I'd suggest don't lie to her (it gets hard to keep doing that, and you shouldn't have to). Tell her that you need that time to yourself and are no longer offering rides, but that you will let her know if and when you are willing to offer a ride, but that future rides will require she pitches in for gas.
I know that being that straighforward can be daunting, but it's nothing compared to the stress you carry around with having to lie, or take someone home who doesn't pay for gas...it's taking you a lot of energy and angst to deal with this situation and you really shouldn't have to do that...so being blunt may be a bit hard, but then hopefully the situation will be resolved and you won't have to have this stress!
best wishes.

If I were you, I would say I'm not going home right now, I'm going somewhere else. If she says she doesn't mind and wants to follow you, say, no, I can't bring you along. If she still doesn't get the drift, tell her your father doesn't allow you to give anyone rides. People like her should be given the blunt end anyways.

Compromise. Ask your coworker to start paying for gas. Demand it actually. $5-$10 per ride, every day you give her a ride! This will get her attention. It also, won't strain any relations with her or your dad and make you look smart.

You are legally responsible for her injuries if she is involved in a car accident while you are driving. If you want to be able to be sued by her, then keep giving her a ride.....
Just tell her that you don't want to expose yourself to the possibility of having to be legally responsible if she were to ever be injured while in your vehicle.
If she were seriously injured she could sue you for everything you have and if you don't have a $1,000,000 umbrella policy, you are at risk. She could garnish your wages for the rest of your life if she won a lawsuit in court.
How is that?

Umm...have you noticed that on the way home the traffic is kinda slow. This is because of the all the people driving home, by themselves. One person per metal monster.
If everyone gave their co-workers lifts then there would be less cars, less polution and the journey how would be faster.
Can't we all just learn to get along, help each other out, and make the world better.
Group hug everyone

Tell her,"@ss, gas, or grass. Nobody rides for free."
But seriously, if she's hot, don't drop her off. Bring her back to your place.
Think of it this way. It's win-win. If she refuses to go home with you, she won't want to ride with you again. If she does go home with you, you've got some regular tail.

tell her you're moving to opposite side of town and you think it might be better if she finds her own way home. Or you could just be straight with her and explain that you would rather finish work and just enjoy the trip home alone. that's what id do.

The next time you give her a lift, go via the petrol station to fill-up. Start a conversation about the VERY HIGH cost of filling your car.
Then, whilst she is agreeing with you, state clearly: "I am afraid that I will have to ask you to contribute to petrol costs from now on, as I am on a very tight budget."
This will make it clear that that is now the rule.

Start smoking cigars. I'm serious. After one ride home with the windows rolled up all the way, she'll never ask you again.
