When people say this are they really just giving away the
fact that they are actually depraved and delusional?
"God" is awesome,SPACE is awesome,the Grand Canyon
is awesome;getting a t-shirt autographed at Hooter's is
NOT awesome,nor is getting some furniture at IKEA.
This country sucks...

You obviously do not know the joy of the 10 dollar coffee table.
For the college student with $26.75 in her bank account that is more awesome than seeing the grand canyon.

This question is awesome! Don't knock IKEA furniture. Awesome is such a commonly, overused word, that it really lost much of its meaning. For the most part, however I think people do mean that things are good when they say something is awesome. Otherwise, they just can't or don't want to offend anyone by using the word(s) they're really thinking.

Many countries suck according to your logic. (And it's true.)
"Everything is awesome" is a lie many ppl use to please their friends, to avoid being criticized and seem nice, to cheer them up or even cheer themselves up and forget the reality.
If you hate this word, tell your friends you don't believe that everything they call "awesome" is really awesome and encourage them to dare to tell the truth. It is certain that there will be more familiarity between you and them after they start telling the truth.
But maybe one day you 'll need to say that sth is good while it's bad. Enjoy your real self until this day comes.

what is awesome to one is not awesome to someone else. just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To that person that may be awesome. It may be a awesome experience.
