How can I talk to him a friend or something else beside a friend?

I'm assuming you're fairly young and good looking...so maybe your boss is intimidated by you.
I know for a fact that a lot of guys are intimidated by attractive, successful young women.
Try approaching him first and be very personable and he might lighten up.

It's quite possible that your boss would not pursue a relationship, friend or otherwise with an employee because of the ethical problems that go along with that. Also, in this day and age, he has to be careful of sexual harassment charges. There may even be company rules against fraternizing with employees.

Just give it some time. If things were meant to be it will work out. If not it wasn't for the best anyway
