If one bit me in the butt it would get a mouthful of hair, boils and clingons. I don't think it would feel like a best answer after that.

Oh definitely..... and sometimes there are people who are SOOO stupid that they give you best answer just to be able to comment on it in a negative way and tell you what a lousy response you gave them and how they disliked it and disagree...... but they gave you the points anyway!!! duuhh!

But THESE are the worst: those who seem to be playing with their schoolmates, make a stupid question and then give "best answer" to their mates even though the response was lousy or had nothing to do with the question.... and then they comment something like "Ohh thanks for your response X, I'm sooo glad to be in the same english class as you this year again"......!!!!!! GGRRRR!!!! Believe me, I've seen them.... they're pathetic. Why even bother to give a good answer to these morons!? Too bad you can't know in advance what kind of ppl they are.....

I find it very difficult to decide best answers because there are always a few decent ones to choose from but I decide to pick the most relevant or fitting one for the purpose, intended that is.

What I'm really suggesting here is I have to like what I'm hearing, with respect to the question having a satisfactory answer, of course, yes.

Sensible really! I am.

Yes and No. Yes, because you can put the correct answer, but if it isn't the answer that person was looking for then it isn't a best answer.

Including a trusted source on factual questions doesn't seem to help.

Then again I've gotten best answer for things I've just put out there in 2 seconds.

Some people, yes. But, some peoples' questions are really just rants because they are upset. So, they think the best answer is the one that totally agrees, even if their upset is totally ridiculous.

Best is in the eyes of the beholder, truly.

BTW - this one has its mouth wide open getting ready to bite!! ;-) lol

Enjoy your answers.

hmm....maybe yes,but also come to think than every one has a different personality and different point of view,in this case everyone who answering are hoping that they give or they share the best answer to the question,in my case in choosing a best answer i will found more than one but the sad story you must choose only one

I kind of think that best answers are very personal, what touches the person or helps them out the most.

Yes, because a lot of people want the answer they expect, not the one that's actually right just because it contradicts them.
