Why then do we pay to have an entertainer PERFORM for our pleasure ----- and then pay a Doctor to PRACTICE medicine on our very lives ? That's the one that throws me
in the floor !!

In piano and in singing lessons, I have heard this.

Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. You can practice the song wrong over and over and at the end of the day, it is still wrong. But if you practice it CORRECTLY, then when you perform it later, it will truly be PERFECT.

SO, it is possible to be perfect in an imperfect world or circumstance.

We may never achieve perfection, but trying to get it is part of the fun, basically you are trying to be perfect, and you may feel you are, or someone may think you are, if you feel good about your life, then you are close to perfection.
Now, what kind of perfection would you want, body, mind, knowledge, art, etc. maybe you just want to be perfect at something, or maybe you want your friends and family to think you are perfect, whatever the motive, whatever you do, feeling perfect is your goal. I will never be perfect, but I am the best I can be, and that makes me almost perfect.

Practice does enhance what youre trying achieve...If you dont you wont make anything of it... I felt that way alot when I played the violin for twelve years of my life then when I injured my shoulder had to quit...I did win many first prizes I was that good...You have to give a shot at it ..work hard then youll receive the winning achievement of mind...and the knowing that you accomplished something...so go for it..dont let that saying overpower you...You have the power to be perfect in your own way....Keep practicing..you obviously have a talent for whatever it is your practicing..dont let go of it...God gave each one of us a talent...or talents..to achieve...to better us..so Keep Working Hard and You Will Achieve... ;))

Fascinating question, I personally do not practice anything. Been sitting here thinking about it, I do stuff but I don't practice. I'm not perfect either.

because that is just a cliche.
and the saying isn't "practice makes you a perfect person"
anyways
it is
"practice makes perfect."
if you had your hsc exams coming up would you study?? this is a form of practice.
or a gymnastics routine or singing performance,
piano recital or whatever, you would want to do you're best in it. this is why we practice. : )

To come to closer to the perfection or to achieve better and brighter successes.

either of the above 2 or both depending on the situation and your choices of selections in different situations.

We have to keep trying to be the best we can be ,even if it comes with lots of downfalls otherwise we would have alot of boring people out there.but I agree no one is perfect and that is kinda of a good thing, alot of people think they are.Keep up the good work

There is NO one person w/ perfect skill.....but we CAN hone certain skills better than others by pratice. Such hours of pratice has served well our sports heroes, music icons of pop culture--and surgeons of medicine....who hold one's life in their hands.

Can you hit a grand slam home run, play guitar like Eddie Van Halen or perfectly preform quadruple artery heart bypass surgery? Think about it.

As far as music is concerned, if you practice, at least people won't think you're killing a cat instead of playing music.

Have a polite day.
