Here is a question that I am almost to embarrassed to ask. But here goes, sometimes I find that I am getting so tired and emotionally and physically drained. I stay at home with my 3 kids (5, 2, 1) and run a daycare in my home. I have had some health issues - had a hysterectomy this past May and still dealing with complications with that.

I do want to be at home raising my own kids but sometimes I miss getting out (I used to be a paralegal). I find that I can be a little more irritable at my kids and my husband and can't seem to get any cleaning done in the house as I feel completely EXHAUSTED.

Any help would be appreciated....

do baby diapers seem to be getting smaller year by year? Looking back to the 80's those diapers look huge compared to diapers made today.

I gave my daughter up when I could not take care of her. I did it in her best intrest but now I am able to care for her and I have been regretting my decision since the day I made it. Is there any way to break the adoption?

What about in different stages of the baby's life. Say, newborn, then 6 months or one year? I'd just like to get an idea as to where we stand financially....
I know about housing and things like that. I'm asking about food, clothing...and all those little things we forget to add in.
Thanks so much!

Which of the following are abuse?

1. Feeding a child only unhealthy food because it's easier than trying to get him to eat healthy.

2. Dressing a child in clothes that make her look like a hooker.

3. Having a boyfriend over to have sex in a living room with no door where children cannot go to the bathroom in the night w/o seeing what's going on.

4. Telling a child you will pick him up on a given day then not even calling, not answering your phone, and finally answering and telling him you can't pick him up becuse you're drinking?

5. Letting a child engage in destructive behavior rather than make the effort to correct it.

List all the ones you consider abuse, also I'd like to hear any you've seen or experienced that are truly damaging to a child but would probably not be labeled abuse by a court.

I went to pick up my boyfriend's 12yo daughter from her dance class a few weeks ago, and one mom there was going through the catalogues of dance costumes with her daughter, telling her "Y'all should get this one because it's sexy."

The 12yo gets dressed in dance costumes better suited to a so-called gentleman's club, with tons of make-up. When off-stage, she wears shorts that barely cover her underwear (probably don't if she bends or stretches), bikinis, strapless belly-baring tops, and shirts with suggestive sayings.

What is wrong with moms?

They think since they can't get away with wearing that stuff anymore they have to live vicariously and dress their kids in it?

And, how do we stop it? Specifically, how can I intervene for this 12yo who I actually have no jurisdiction over?

What is going to happen when your children find out what a big fat liar you are? Will they ever be able to trust you again after being lied to for all those years that you insisted that Santa was real?

My daughter received a lot of gifts in her 1st birthday party. She is just one and I don't think she needs so many gifts. She enjoys playing with her Mom and Dad more than playing with any of the toys she has. And she already has quite a few toys. So, I was thinking of donating it so that some other kids who cannot afford to buy toys can have them. My only concern is if it is okay to donate gifts given by others.

Me and my b!tch are considering adopting a child but i know its not a decision to be taken lightly. So im asking, whats the most fashionable type of baby? Are Chinese babies "out" and black babies "in"? Or perhaps a baby of some other ethnicity?

I have a wonderfully loving 4 year old son who can be so sweet and loving one minute and irrational the next if confronted. I have tried many different approaches from very early on. We do not like to spank per say but I have at times when needed or at a loss of what to do. Spanking in turn makes him hit back and kick and from there on it is just a fight. Plus, how silly is it to say "We don't hit" while hitting him. So... we went to time, out only to have him throwing himself all over for what seemed like hours. Next step included sending to the room and that worked for awhile because he was distracted and would come back into the current family situation without any problems. We have now graduated from that to sending to the room accompanied by screaming, yelling, slamming and if I attempt to talk to him he covers his ears. This will even happen if the problem is not severe and just trying to communicate if he is not interested. I am not parenting, just reacting! HELP!!

Two years ago my son, then 13, messesd up, got home drunk, was disrespectful. I ended up giving him a good spanking and he was grounded for 2 months. He turned into a great kid any parent would be proud of,.but so resentful that until today he has hardly talked to me and his mom, cause she supported me. These days I had a problem and because of my principles I had to give up some good money I was about to make and we were counting on. My wife and my 12 yo daughter got disappointed an even angry with me, cause though contrary to my principles there was nothing illegal. Bt my son understood me, even congratulated me and help me convince my wife and daughter I had done the right thing to do. I was amazed, he handled that situation better than me, showed much maturity, and convinced them I was right. I tried that could mean a new and good phase in our realtionship, but unfortunately I was wrong. He just said he had been fair, followed his conscience but nothing had changed.

Seriously! One would think that these people would have enough insight to realize that perhaps they're too ill-tempered and angry to deal well with children.

My ex and i recently borke up due to my stupidity and immaturity. Before we when started dating, i found out she had a 16 month old daughter. She was raped by someone and her daughter was the result. I fell in love with my ex and i hit it off with her duaghter to the point where i consider her to be my own. I am only 17, but i cared for her like she was my own. I still love my ex and there is a possibility that we may get back together. I just need some advice on how to be a better boyfriend and father.

I'm 21.I have a daughter age 7.We live without her father. She is very independent and mature for her age.She is a happy child and always plays or anything and along with that she is mature. When she comes back from school,I'm at work and she eats sandwiches(I've made in the morning) and after writing her homework, she goes out with friends. She comes back after 4-5 hours(they play in far neighbourhood and she uses the bus). When she comes,it's sometimes dark outside.I'm afraid a little if something bad happens.I've talked with her if she would be able to come earlier but she refuses and says they have a great time and nothing bad will happen.I don't want to break the relationship between us(we are close as friends and I won't let anything to change that). What should I say or do,to explain that dark is danger sometimes?

My daughter forgot her progress folder at school so I waited outside for her to bring it to me so I could sign it. Her little friend walked up to my vehicle pouting because her mom forgot to sign hers and asked me to sign it so she wouldnt get detention. So I signed her dads name to it for her. Now i'm second guessing what I did. She said that her mom wouldnt be mad but i'm worried that she might be. Your opinions please?
