My children have been in daycare for about 3 months and they have constantly stayed sick!!! They've been in 2 other daycares that had the approx. same amount of children but have NEVER been sick like this. The daycare has pretty strict rules about children coming in sick, but mine seem to be constantly sick. Throught 3 months I've had bronchitis and Pnuemonia. My fiance has had the same. And my children have had a variety my oldest being the worse having had pnuemonia twice in a month. How can I stop this from happening? I use lysol and hand sanitizers as much as possible. Any suggestions?

i'm male and frequently wet the bed from about 5 - to about 11! i had horrible night-mares in which i urinated! i stopped at about the time i began to have nocturnal erections (it's hard to go with an erection) which woke me up.
my bed wetting began when the dreadful fear of my abusive/frightening dad took hold. it seems that i spent my entire early childhood SCARD TO DEATH OF MY PARENTS. the horrible tensions of our everyday life was relieved in sleep when i'd wet - often several times a night! the rubber sheets, spankings, diet restrictions, self-hate, discomfort, etc. was mind boggling.

there's much more to this but i'd like to suggest that, if your kid is wetting, you might consider the kid's emotional/psychological condition (especially FEARS) along with genetic/physical causes. i know that you, like my parents, don't want to ever admit that YOU ARE THE CAUSE of your kid's reactions/behavior but YOU ARE for the most part! so, do somethng about your parenting!

Why do parents smugly say you'll understand when you are older? as when you get old you find they were lying or stupid along with most 'grown ups' or corrupt or living in lala land making decisions on the basis of everyone else is doing it (reminds me of smoking in school) oe as their parents did it...

Ok so the deal is my father met this women on an online dating website and they have been talking. I have never met her or anything & she has 2 daughters. Well he has been saying strange things to me like we are going to make this room her daughters room and that my dog is going to get a new playmate b/c they have a dog. Ok keep in mind noone in my family has met these people. I got suspecious so I was listening in on his convo and she asked how long it would take for them to get married. He said they could do it in 5 min and she liked that idea. She also asked him if they could put there bank accounts together and he AGREED! I know he has not known this women for more than 2 months and they are going to elope and get married WTF! He dated another women for 9 years and did not marry her! I dont understand. How can you marry someone move her in and not even introduce her to the family first. I think that she may be a con-artist. Please tell me what you would do in a situation like that!

whats your opinion on it? and do you think the dad should've just won custody of the girls? I think it would be for the kids for the dad to have won the custody battle now that he is clean. The mom is leading them to a life of destruction and hatered.

I've been watching a bit of MTV lately and can't believe my eyes! It is no freaking wonder why there are so many pregnant teens, stds, abortions, moms leaving kids, moms having kids with different dads, people being raped, kids having sex younger and younger, etc. Just look at the music these days! It sickens me...it really does. These are just a few of the videos I've seen---take a look at these and tell me if they are a bad influence on todays kids and teens..

Does that not gross you out? Whatever happened to love songs? Like true love songs--what happened to them? I've heard songs called "Ridin' Dirty" and "Humps" and I even heard one called "S.E.X."! These songs and the people singing them are flushing our future down the drain if you ask me...but what do you think?

i have noticed this time after time. i am in the toy section of a store like target or walmart and a mom is telling her kid "you can get ONE toy" or "as long as it's under $20" and usually the kid is complaining or acting kind of bratty, so he doesn't deserve anything anyway.

um, is this just normal now? my parents were not poor, but they did not give me toys just on a whim. it seems parents just automatically give their kids things without having to earn it. birthdays, holidays, etc i understand, but i think people are just giving kids toys to shut them up, and to me, that sends the wrong message. they are not learning the value of money and they are being taught to have an entitlement mindset.

i hope new parents will resist this trend...

When I was a teen I remember a boy had to be taken away from a chaperoned party in an ambulance for alcohol poisoning. The boy looked like death. His face was ashen gray. (Somebody thought it was funny to toss his unconscious body behind a fence. Luckily, some else found him and got him medical attention.) Because he got medical treatment, he was OK.

Here's a link to a foundation started by the parents of a 19 year-old who died from alcohol poisoning:

I know alot of parents would say that every child does this but I've been around alot of kids and I've never seen one that talks as much as my son. He literally talks constantly, so much so that one can't concentrate on anything else when he's around. As soon as he opens his eyes, he starts talking and he doesn't stop until he goes to bed. He's loud and will talk to anyone who'll listen to him. (He even strikes up conversations with strangers in the grocery store, even though we've told him not to talk to strangers.)He gets alot of attention from his father and I and from his grandma.

His brother is two and everyone wonders why he doesn't talk alot and I tell them that with his big brother around, he doesn't get the chance to say much.

My 5 year old is very intelligent and will be starting Kindergarten homeschool next week. The problem is, I don't know if he'll stop talking long enough to learn anything.

Do you have any advice on how I can get him to stop?

Heres the situation;

My 8 yr. old daughter (Brook, for refrence) has cried begged and pleaded for me to put her in cheerleading. Since she could walk and talk she has wandered about claping and cheering. She watches competitions on tv, cheers in line at the grocery store (and every where else). Any way, It was difficult, but I pulled some strings, and got her one of the last spots on the local football clubs freshman squad. I had to make special arrangements at work to accomidate practice schedule, had to get her a last minute phyiscal and pay for it, I had to sell 100 raffle tickets (bought @ least 25 my self). K, I am not complaning. I would do it all over again. that is what parents do. well, at her first practice she cried and sai she did not like it. Made a scene at the field. Her dad showed up and she beeged him to take her home. I told her she had to go though with it. MORE TO COME
