I find that kind of annoying, its not even original and it makes the children sound like some family group act.

All their kids have names that begin with the same letter, it just sounds silly.

Maybe I am just snobby, but I would never do that!

Why would people do that? Do they think its cute?

He left me after 8yrs and now lives with my son's friends mother. My kids are almost 7 and almost 2. They're gr8 but, the situation is so tough. I have to see his girlfriend every day at school and I hate the fact that he sees them. I just don't know how I can be civil to him. He angers me so much - I love him and hate him at the same time!! Anyway - how can I give the kids a normal life and try to include their Dad in it.

I am truly disgusted with my some of the members in my generation! We have fallen victim to stereotypes to the worst degree. I know everyone has stereotypes but it seems to be everyone hates on everyone else no matter what they do. If you smoke, you’re a bad person. If you spank your children, you’re a bad parent. If you don’t spank your children, you’re a bad parent. If you’re Latino, you crossed the border illegally. If you are black, you are a gangster. I could go on and on. If you got pregnant while you are a teenager you are automatically considered a bad parent. I just don’t understand it…as a society are we that superficial to think that everyone who is different or who has done things differently is wrong? I challenge every parent to raise their child with out stereotypes. Let them know that just because someone has made mistakes they aren’t considered a bad person. I think the best thing my mom ever told be was not to judge a book by its cover but does everyone practice this? Has anyone tried stepping into another parents shoes or at least imagine what it is to be them? As mothers, fathers, and caregivers you would think we should be sympathetic to one another’s problems but I can grantee you look at any question and at least one answer will be negative or rude to the person.

- What stereotypes do you have?

- What do you feel made you have that stereotype?

- Do you plan on changing?

I consider myself a very open-minded person and truly intend on raising my son that way, do you plan on raising your children the same?

hey, i'm a 17 year old male who used to be reeeally fit until this summer... since the begining of this summer i have piled on 66+lbs. due to lack of exercise, binge eating, eating sugary foods & other issues such as my "urge to gain weight" which means i enjoy myself overweight & plan on continuing to gain weight...

yet i have noticed in the past month or so i have started getting chest pains. like when i climb stairs, eat ALOT or sometimes no apparent reason...

my question is, is this okay to be doin this?? i mean my parents & doctors say i MUST lose weight, watch what i eat & work out!but i'm like screw that!! so can anybody help me with this??

my current stats are 5'10 217lbs. up from 160ish a few months ago! i also have a rather round belly @ 46 inches which makes me look pregnant which i find quite amusing. i also have huge thighs which is an utter pain AND also man boobs "moobs" which are slightly unsightly but w/e keep in mind i was inshape a few months ago... thank ya

How big was s/he?
How long was s/he?
Was your baby a boy or girl? Did you know before they were born or was the dr wrong?
How long were you in labor for?

This is almost a nightly ritual and I am getting pretty sick and tired of it. If she had a weak bladder wouldn't it affect her during the day too? She is too old to put in a diaper and takes it off anyway and wets the sheets and mattress. What is my next alternative?

The proposals are that all young teen single pregnant mothers be monitored so they don't bring up their kids to be a menace to society. Well about time I say. We have too many sponging single teen mothers turning out kids by the handful just so they can go on benefits and get a council house. We as taxpayers have to pay for that, and then we have to pay for the damage their kids do to the buildings and parks we provide for them.

Do they not understand the crime that goes on in the country is partly because of no discipline when they were growing up. If your kids misbehave then the should be disciplined. I was spanked as a kid and i have to stand in the corner, my parnets yelled at me and i am just fine. That is fine if you do not want to spank but at least descipline them. Don't leave up to the cops to arest them when they fu*k up before they learn.Let try to make this world a better place and teach our kids right from worng. Give them discilpline and rules they have to follow.

My wife and I are hoping to be first time parents soon.

I thought about it and I don't want our child kissing anyone but me, my wife, and future siblings.

Am I weird for not wanting the grandparents kissing the baby on the lips?

My mother has cold sores and I don't want anyone's possible germs on my child.

Plus I feel that they are not in the immediate family, so I don't know where their lips have been.

I don't want my kid thinking its okay to kiss anyone ourside of our household.

How do you tell family members to not kiss your baby on the lips?

How do you feel about people kissing your child on the lips?

My son is just turned 3, two weeks ago. He fights me or Daddy when he needs a change. The problem is he isn't intersted in potty training at all. Dosn't want to have anything to do with it!
Any ideas to get him intersted? The other problem is that we are expecting another child in late Jan. Should I try the potty training thing or just wait until he wants to do it.

We have brought him into the bathroom with us and showed him. Daddy has showed him standing up with and without cherrios. He could care less. Do you think it has anything to do with not being in daycare. I don't believe in putting kids in daycare. I will not put him or our other child into daycare. I am staying home with them. I also don't believe in rewarding kids for going potty.

Any ideas?? Thanks!!!

The Facts:

My husband and I have been planning on going to his dad’s house for Labor Day.

Our car’s air conditioner hasn’t worked for the past month and a half.

He pretty much controls the whole car situation since he is the only one who drives.

My son is six months and currently has a ear infection.

His father lives about six to seven hours away.

We live in Florida…you know about that kind of heat!

He wants to leave tonight…without the air-conditioner being fixed.

My Opinion: I don’t want to leave until the air conditioner is fixed. I think it is too hot to drive without air-conditioning for six hours…and I think it’s not good for my son’s ear infection to have all the air flowing quickly through the car with the windows down. Am I right to feel this way? Should we go or not?

My son just turned 1 yesterday and we have a party planned

We have invited some friends and family and there will be some kids here as well. The kids ages range 9, 4, 3, 2 &1....I would like to not have any organized competition games....just free play....please help with some ideas...other than bubbles because I already have that covered.

I asked this question before and I got a lot of responses with opinions that I should not have a party for my one year old and that it would be a waste of money and time...blah blah blah. I'm not looking for those responses. Please let me worry about MY son and MY SON'S party and how much TIME and MONEY we will spend. I do not mean to be harsh...but you ask a simple question you should be able to get a simple answer...not someone trying to run your life.

I am so sick and tired of parents saying we should discipline our children just because they get out of hand at a store! What do you suggest….should we just be rude to our children and embarrass them out in public. Or should we BEAT them. I am sorry but I will never speak in a disrespectful manner to my children OR ever, EVER hit them! I can shop while my son is crying, it effects me more than you, so why do you care??? You need to get over it, I bet you won’t be complaining when your children end up socially unaccepted because you have made them suffer so gravely.

My daughter is 13 months old and you can image I love her to death BUT she has a temper! When she gets mad or doesn’t get her way (such as when I take things away from her, sleepy, or wanting everything to go her way) she just completely throws her head back to the ground and yells to the top of her lungs! If I try to give her something else she will throw it on the ground and yell some more!

She will also hit me!! BUT her favorite thing is to "fall out" I cant take it anymore...MOTHERS what should I do? She is my fist child and I am 22 and clueless about this. I don’t want to "pop" or "spank" her because she is so young and how will "Hitting" her make her not hit me or others basically telling her not to hit while I am hitting her..so I don’t want to really teach with hitting! But I need to break this habit.

HELP..

Every morning for about 2 weeks, my son has been crying before he goes into his Kindergarten class, which he did not do the 1st week of school. I find out this morning that there is a mentally disabled girl in his class who freaks the living hell out of him. He has never seen, nor been around mentally disabled people. How do I explain so that he will understand that he doesnt need to be afraid of them? How do I explain why they look and act in the manner that they do? Help please! Its such a chore to get my son to go to school every morning!
