IF YOU ARE IN FAVOR OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS, THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A COMMENT. IT IS AGAINST THE YAHOO ANSWERS RULES TO GIVE YOUR OPINION OR COMMENT IN LIEU OF AN ANSWER. YOU WILL BE REPORTED. I am having trouble with my daughter's elementary school and thier mandatory uniform policy. Last year, I was able to sign the waiver to opt-out of it, and we had no further problems. This year, however, they are really hassling me. They are saying they are going to transfer her to a different school that does'nt have uniforms, or that they will make her change, but that is not acceptable to me, and it is illegal in California. I need to know, from parents that have dealt with this issue, or from kids whose parents had the same problems, or from anyone else that has knowledge of this situation, any tips or advice on what to do next. I live in California.

My wife and I have given it some thought and I thought I would see if there were any foster parents on here...how long do you usually provide for the children before they are taken away again? Is it hard not to get real attached to them? How do you deal with it? Does the agency you go through pay for all medical bills if any with the child? Thanks for the help!!

My kids 8,7, and 2 are gettign worse as they get older. My daughter is getting sassy and smart mouth. My seven year old is lazy whines, complains, cries, or falls asleep, and refuses to eat anything. My two y.o keeps unlocking the door and running outside so I can never get my housework done. It is such a struggle to keep him inside the house. My boyfriend is not working to his fullest potiential to earn more money , and addictied to palystation. I took the semester off school to get my life and house turned back around but the battle with housework, kids, bills and work ...make me want to open the door and run away! How did I do so well managing this in the past and now I can't handle this anymore? I only have 2 semesters until I get my bachlors, and I just got a new great job I don't want to sacrafice either of them b/c of a bad home life. (I have already slacked in school and let my other good job slip away) Help!

My little boy is very good, except for one thing. He is extremely untidy with his toys. As I work full time, at the end of a busy day the last thing I want to do before putting him to bed is tidy up. He is well able but soooo lazy. When I tell him to do it, he drops to his knees and says: ' but Mum, it is just so big, I just CAN'T do it' He is also very lazy about getting himself dressed. I lay his clothes out for him but he is more than happy to stay in his PJs all day rather than dressing himself.....Help

have a booster/car seat for my four year old? I didn't know until today that at the 4th year children no longer need a car seat...From all the advertising I see it seemed as though they needed to be in a car seat until they were older. At the same time even the thought of not having one for my four year old makes me feel like a bad parent. Is this just good advertising on the part of the car seat and booster seat makers? It has to be, I feel like I've been brainwashed about this and yet I'm still going to go out and spend $100 and up on a booster/car seat today.

I love my wife to bits and really want to have kids but am really concerned about starting a family. I have no idea about what parenting is about and am worried my life will be boring after we have kids. Having seen some of my friends lives turned upside down after them giving birth I'm not 100% sure its right for me!

Can I have some experienced and constructive comments please......my wife wants to start trying in the new year and although I have talked about my worries with her many many times she seems very confident everything will be great!

If you are having problems trying to get your kids to learn to read how about putting on a dvd then put the subtitles on and get them to read along with it. Do you think it would work?

I'm a divorced dad and have a fantastic 5-year old daughter. It's getting a bit colder now so she sleeps with warm pj's. I have always heard that little girls should sleep with their panties on but recently heard the contrary. Which one is the healthiest for her ? Thank you !

So many question come to this site with whining parents about drug addicted, sexually active, defiant children. I am only in my 30's, but I think that today's parents have become snivelling weaklings. I do not let my children walk over over me...they do not talk back, curse, have sex, do drugs, or disrespect anyone in any way. Have parents lost control in today's societies? What are YOU doing as a parent to gain this lost control? Or are you all in fear of being condoned as a child abuser?

The guy is suppose to give me his tax assesment every July, well I got full custody in April. He hasnt paid me a dime. I'm not bugging him about it either. I could use the money but the poor guy has a lot of problems right now, and I really dont want to add to them. He finally got a real job (first one lasting longer than 2 weeks. Been working about 2 months). I dont want him to be the kind of guy who lives on welfare forever to avoid paying support. The thing that does **** me off though is he partys all the time and the few times I have seen him (picking up my son for visits) He's always wearing really expensive brand name clothes like phat farm, johnny blaze n **** like that. WTF? Any wayz I aint gonna start nothing with him over it. But will he get busted come tax time?

PLEASE HELP!!!! I don't feel like I have adjusted to motherhood the way that I should have. My son is 1 1/12 yrs old and I take care of him and I am a pretty good mom I think but I never planned on having kids and I still don't feel like I was meant to have children. I love being a mom but I used to be wild before I got married and had my son. Does anyone else feel the same way...like you can't adjust to motherhood completely?

I have very bad thoughts everytime my daughter is away from me. I worry someone will steal her, or she will run off and get hit by a car anything. She is 3 and perfect but my anxiety really bothers me. I am anxious about other things but this is overwhelming cause I can not even relax when she is with her father. Does anyone have the same feelings?
