The guy is suppose to give me his tax assesment every July, well I got full custody in April. He hasnt paid me a dime. I'm not bugging him about it either. I could use the money but the poor guy has a lot of problems right now, and I really dont want to add to them. He finally got a real job (first one lasting longer than 2 weeks. Been working about 2 months). I dont want him to be the kind of guy who lives on welfare forever to avoid paying support. The thing that does **** me off though is he partys all the time and the few times I have seen him (picking up my son for visits) He's always wearing really expensive brand name clothes like phat farm, johnny blaze n **** like that. WTF? Any wayz I aint gonna start nothing with him over it. But will he get busted come tax time?

get your child support court ordered and that check will stop at the IRS because the state has claim to it , he wont see his return , and it has been my experience he thinks he is hurting you by not paying but the ones who falter for it are your kids, make him pay problems or not your kids are worth it and he needs to grow up and see that

As soon as you turn him in to Child Support Enforcement he will. My ex is supposed to give me his entire tax return, in eight years I haven't seen a dime. Why? Because he doesn't file. So if I don't get anything this year, I'll be making a call to the IRS. Only reason I haven't done so sooner, is because he does pay child support. Court mandated child support. Don't let him slack off, and don't feel sorry for him if he can afford to buy name brand clothes. I hate dead beat dads, they wanted to play, but don't want to pay afterward. Jerks. Do the right thing for your son by making his father help take care of him. It's hard to do everything by yourself, and even if it's less than $300 a month, that's better than nothing. Good luck to you.
