I am a stay at hom mom and have found recently that I feel really tired and tend to snap more at my children especially. I don't have as much patience and I feel terrible! I have a 5 year old, 2 year old and a 10 month old. I have had a difficult year, had my baby by c-section 10 months ago and then had an emergency hysterectomy this past May. I guess I just feel like I don't have any time for me..... Does anyone have any advice????

My husband had to fly out of state to be with his dad who is having some health problems. We have two daughters- 15 months and 3 years. The fifteen month old isn't paying much attention, but the three year old is having a hard time with daddy not being here. This is the first night she's ever had to go to bed without seeing him. How do I explain to her that he is coming back and that he loves her and didn't want to leave her behind? He's on the airplane right now, so I can't let her call him.

My dad left us for another woman who was after him since he was married and during the first months of the divorce this woman got pregnant and had a baby boy .From the day he left he forgot about us and today we found out by our cousin on his side of the family that all this time his been telling every member of his family not to look for us or call us or care about us .I will have to add that we are a good people ,my mom loved my dad very much and we had a beautiful family until this woman infected our lives. He even has gone to the point of trying to stop paying child support which did not work cause he was taken to court. He hide having another kid (the baby)for a whole 11/2 years .Never call us for nothing.I dont think that after doing so much he can be happy with this woman we often wonder if he has a concience or ever feel any remorse for what he has done to us.this is so painfull .

Should children be allowed to find out about bells if they are not yet in middle school?

I personally think that it is duscusting what parents do to their little girls (and boys) to enter them into the beauty pagent. They dress them up in clothes that are way too mature for them and put all this make up on them to the point that they don't even look like little children anymore. And them people wonder why they get murdered.

It seems like every other day I am washing the sheets because my daughter will pee the bed. I have her go potty before bed time and I make sure she goes, I tell her if she has to go to get up and go. The bathroom is right next to her room. But still she will pee the bed. What can I do to have her stop?

Subject: TO ALL PARENTS....Pretty Scary!!!

McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Discovery Zone... Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews, grandchildren or friends with
children. This will pertain to you too. As I read the following, my heart sank. I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people as you can. I cannot stress how important this is! This is very disturbing news. In addition to the following true story, I will also add that my own sons were playing in the ball pit at Chuckee Cheese one day.

One son lost his watch, and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find the watch. instead, we found vomit, food, feces, and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager. Come to find out, the ball pit is only cleaned out once a month. I have doubts that it is even done that often. My kids will never play in another ball pit.

NOW READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! PRETTY SCARY!!

Be very careful when taking your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc.to the McDonald's Ball Pit play area. Ask the manager when was the last time they cleaned the play area out. Please read this even if you don't have children and forward it to everybody you can! This is so sad and so terrible!
Hi. My name is Lauren Archer, my son Kevin and I lived in Midland,TN. On October 2nd, 1999 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday.. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong, he pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said "Mommy, it hurts." I couldn't find anything wrong with him at that time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point when I found a welt on his left buttock. Upon investigating, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment to see the doctor the next day, but soon he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head. From there, we went to the emergency room. He died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off inside. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from a heroine overdose. The next week, the police removed the balls from the ball pit. There was rotten food, several hypodermic needles: some full, some used; knives, half-eaten candy, diapers, feces, and the stench of urine. If a child is not safe in a child's play area then where? You can find the article on Kevin Archer in the October 10,1999 issue of the Midland Chronicle.

I have been seeing my new girlfriend for a couple of months now and it is pretty serious. I met her 6 year old son for the first time this weekend. The first day went really well and we all had a great time - especially her son! However today was a whole different kettle of fish! He got very jealous any time we went near each other and had continual tantrums, finally resorting to kicking his mum and drawing pictures of bad things happening to her! I played with him and we all played together all day, and we had a picnic but this afternoon he changed his attitude. I don't have any problem with him - he is the most important thing in her life and I have no intention of getting in the way, but having no experience with this situation - or children at all - I don't know how to progress. He has accepted his dad's new girlfriend without a problem, but he lives with his mum and is scared he's going to lose her like he 'lost' his dad.
Any advice would be appreciated?

My wife and I decided to Never speak to our child like a baby..ya know like cute baby voices...we speak only in regular words and we speak to our son as a normal person. But how do we get our family to respect our wishes of No baby talk? They think that we are being crazy but we just feel that there is no need to talk to a baby ...like a baby..infact we plan on raising our son in a more socially unorthadox kinda way but we feel that it will be better in the long run. any advice?

I try to put my son in time out on a seat somewhere but it is impossible to keep him there. A few times I have gotten so mad and are afraid of hurting him I have put him in his rooma nd shut the door for 2 whole minutes and that's his time out. I've done this when for example I am on a very important phone call and he is screaming and hitting me or biting me.
I know this is probably not right but has anyone else done that? Because although I have heard that a parent should not do this I encounter many parents who say they've done it.

Here is my story. My sons father has not called or seen his son since July 16th when he left my parents house drunk. He wanted to take my son with him and I wouldn't let him. He has an 8 year old daughter who he loves and who isn't very pleasant to be around. My son is adorable sweet loving and adores his dad, but he doesn't care he was mad at me that night and has since taken it out on his son. He doesn't give me child support or anything. My son asks for him all the time adn I have to lie to him and tell him daddy is working. He has been on vacation since last week and has his daughter but doesn't even bother to get his son. Why? This is so hurtful. To my son and to me because I feel bad for him.
