My husband had to fly out of state to be with his dad who is having some health problems. We have two daughters- 15 months and 3 years. The fifteen month old isn't paying much attention, but the three year old is having a hard time with daddy not being here. This is the first night she's ever had to go to bed without seeing him. How do I explain to her that he is coming back and that he loves her and didn't want to leave her behind? He's on the airplane right now, so I can't let her call him.

Tell her that he had to go visit his daddy because he is not feeling good that he needs to take care of him like you two take care of her when she is sick and he will be home in a little bit.

Come on Mom. You are her parent and an adult. sounds like you are missing and stressing out about dad more than she is. In life, she will have to go t osleep without seeing daddy. It's simple. Grandpa wasn't feeling well so daddy went to take care of him. He is spending the night....like a sleep over and he gets to fly on an airplane. He will be back soon and you can talk to him tomorrow morning.

Just tell her that soon he will be home and there's nohting to worry about and tellher that her daddy loves her and when he comes back he;ll tuck her in 3 times to make up for it. I dono, or try to distract her and she'll forget about it.

JUST TELL HER THAT GRANDPA IS SICK AND THAT DADDY NEED'S TO GO HELP GRANDPA FELL BETTER, AND THEN AS SOON AS DADDY LAND'S U CALL DADDY AND LET HIM TELL HER THAT YES HE STILL LOVE'S HER AND HE'LL BE HOME SOON.
