I don't think that bells and everything associated with them is appropriate for children not in middle school.

I am sorry but are you in some kind of religious cult that has a thing about bells that ring??
Bells are used to signify the split inbetween lessons, they can also save lives if there is a fire!! They are very important in everyday life, not just school!
Your question is very odd!

What are you talking about....bells? Bells that mark the change of classes in schools? Bells that mark the bus time? What.
Children should be allowed to learn about the meaning of bells in their environment. What's not to learn about them.

well when i was in elementary School we had bells to let us know that we had to "freeze" and then 2 minutes later we would hear another on to know it was time to go in. I think its a good way to get them use to the bells. I mean for all their upper grade years they are going to use them, so I Don't think that it will make that big of a deal.

Well if you mean bells then I don't see a problem. If you mean balls then yes children in middle school should be educated about them. Children try things younger and younger and need to know of the risks they are taking when they engage in activities that may involove them. wink*

Um.. i don't see any harm in it. Its been done for years. Going to kindergarden hearing the bell means break is over. As an adult everytime i hear a bell i don't stop what i'm doing so, i don't think its hurting none.

are you talking about bells between classes? If so, they need to know whast to excpect when they go into the middle school. It's like riding a bike if it's not introducted to them and let them try,m it will be overwelming when it does

do you mean the bells that signify the changing of classes? other wise i am clueless. I think a child is never too young to learn about responsibilty and having to be on a schedule.
