A two year old will not eat out of boredom, due to the fact that they are never still. Feed him. Give him regular meals and if he's still hungry give him snacks like fruit, cheese, raw veggies, anything healthy. Try to stay away from pre-packaged snacks as these contain tons of sugar and not any nutrients a growing baby needs. He is probably just burning up the food you feed him at mealtime because 2 yr olds are very busy. No candy, chips, soda, or milk to fill him up. These will only make him fat. Yes, milk is good for babies, just not as supplement for food. Peanut butter and jelly, flavored rice cakes, cherry tomatoes, etc..............

Yes, as long as it is good healthy stuff he is eating. Be glad he wants to eat, some kids start getting picky about what they eat at that age. Sometimes kids are going through a growth spurt and are more hungrier than normal. As long as he is not getting real fat or anything, feed that baby when he is hungry!! My son was like that at times, and the thoughts of him going to bed hungry would make me cry.

He may be going through a growth spurt, but a toddler's stomach is only about the size of their fist, so start out with that ammount on his plate, and increase by only a tablespoon or so at a time if he still seems hungry

two year olds have such a huge growth spurt. Have a platter of cut up fruit and veg as well as yogurt and cheese in the fridge and offer that. If he is hungary he can eat this. If he is after junk then say NO!
