I realise hindsight is 20/20 but one woman actually admitted she almost went to the polie ten years ok. Others talk about his strange behavoir. If they knew something was strange about him why didn't they warn other parents ? Whether or not he killed JOn Bennett this man should still be kept away from children. Don't we owe it to our children to protect them?? I would want to know if someone like him was in contact with my child!!! Wouldn't you???

I love hearing these stories, they are so cute!

2006-08-27 11:12:17 · 9 answers · asked by tmac 5

They hit each other, disrespect me, and sometimes hit me. They are 7 and 9. Just now I tried putting them in the "naughty chair" like on Nanny, because they were hitting each other. It doesn't seem to work that well, they drag the chairs across the room and goof around. I tried keeping them in the chairs but they just got madder and started kicking me. What should I do with them when they act up? Please serious answers only, I try my best, it's a touchy subject for me.

Does this sound like a good teacher for your child to have? What are your opinions on her teaching methods?

In your honest opinion, who works harder, working moms or stay at home moms? I've done both but I just wanted to see what other people think.

Thats the philosophy my grandmother USE to go by. When ever I was growing up, if me and my cousins got out of line we would get a spanking (well, actually a switchin'). But now, we are grown up (17, 19, and 20 year olds) and we are good people I think. We have a 7 year old cousin who is very spoiled and gets away with everything. My mamaw doesn't whip her, but insteads sends her to her room. So, she still does what she wants because she knows that she'll just be sent to her room. What do you think'? Do you believe children should be spanked or not? I know it looks really bad....but in some cases I think its needed. I just don't know.

Ernesto is coming and from what it looks like the florida keys will have to evacuate. Im new and never had to worry about hurricanes. If we evacuate I'll have to drive my car while my husband drives his truck...I will have my 10 month old with me by myself. My husband says it takes between 5 and 6 hours to get to the main land from where we live (close to key west) My son is 10 months old and I was wondering if your alloud to put a baby in the front seat if it still faces the rear. My car automatically turns off the air bag if it senses a weight below like 75 lbs but does the law say you cant put babies up front???

Ok, whenever I was younger my family use to be real poor...we rarely had anyfood so I was always hungry. I remember going to school and at lunch time just watch people eat. They would waste half of their food and I'd just be thinking how much I would love to have that. So, I don't let my kids waste at all. I tell them not to get too much food, and if they want more they can get more. But I make them eat whats on their plate. Is that over the top? Its just I hate to see food wasted. I just dunno.....

My daughter is now four months old. She has been sleeping with us almost every night, until recently when we've started putting her in her bassinet and crib at night. I feed her while laying in bed and fall asleep while holding her. She spends up to 4 hours sleeping on my chest without eating. Is this an issue? Will this affect her development, now or in the future?

My daughters are 6 and 4 years old. There is no father around and of course no relatives of his side.My parents are dead and I don't have brothers and sisters. My other relatives live in Europe.I don't have enough money and till now I was working at home but it's not enough.I'm going to get a real,well-paid job,but I want some advices how can I protect my children from Children Services?I don't know what should I be afraid of more - robberies and killers or Children Services???So,my children are responsible and they won't do nothing stupid or dangerous while I'm at work, because I have learned them what's dangerous and what's not.And don't you worry about their childhood - they are very happy when they stay alone at home and they usually play dolls. So,help me,how should I prepare my children what to do and how to lie if Children Services come?

I have a 6-year-old daughter. My husband's salary isn't enough for the 3 of us.We consider some work for me either but we don't have anyone to leave the girl with(no reliable neighbours,no grandparents and no way to hire a baby-sitter).So we think she would be alone at home. But my question is that - I have friends from Europe. They all can leave their children alone whenever they want to and nothing bad happens.Their children usually stay at home, read books, watch TV,sleep, play with dolls.I think if European children can handle with such a situation, our(American) children can do it so.My best friend(from Europe) has a son,5 years old,and she regularly leaves him alone, because she is working and they don't send him to daycares etc. What do you think about that?

OK- I was wondering if there is any special things that you think are a must have when shopping for a baby? I know the crib, car seat, stroller, etc. But what other products did you find really helpful?

Where there things you bought or were given that were a complete waste of money? Like a baby robe?

Girls: (in no order of preference)
1) Kalela OR Kalilla OR Kalila [if I didn't pick any of the Kalela's, I would choose Kiah, pronounced Kye-ah. All of the Kalela's have different pronunciations.]
2) Scarlet

Boys:
1) Wolf
2) Erik

My name is Astrid so I thought I would choose strong, Danish or Danish-sounding names for my sons. I'm not pregnant... I'm 14, but it's just a thought and I was wondering who else shares my like of these names? So tell me: Love them or hate them? Tell me the names you like and why! =) Thanks guys....
