The next time you catch them doing it? Push their faces down and hold, for about 30 minutes --- bet they'll never do that again. . .

ROFLMAO. Make them stay away from the dog? Immatation perhaps. LOL. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I've got this mental image. My Autistic son has wanted to do that. Boy, talking him out of actually doing it was a chore.

Ok, seriously, now, depending on your children's ages there is a potty lock that keeps curious toddlers from reaching into the toilet. If your children are much older, the only thing I can thing of is to put a padlock system on the doors. The only problem with that is if it's a HAVE TO GO, well...then you've got to get the combination to the lock quickly.

Other than that, or taking away privlidges when they do it, that's all I can think of.

This URL will show you different potty locking devices. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=toilet%20lock&sa=N&tab=wi

I have a 13 month old and he goes for the tiolet occasionally. He doesn't drink in it but he thinks it's fun putting his hands in the water. I give him a swat on his hand and say "yucky!" and remove him from the bathroom. I have two other children and it's hard to keep the door shut. When I see it's open, I do shut it. They do have locks you can put on the toilet at Wal-mart, but teaching your child "no" is more valuable. Good luck.

I would also clean your toilet frequently!

No, really if your child is drinking from the toilet they make a toilet lock you can put on it. You should be able to find it in the child proofing section of wal-mart, Home Depot, ext.

Wow.... I'm not even going to ask how this situation developed, although my curiosity is extremely active right now. Make it an unpleasant, but SAFE occurrence just like you would for a pet. Put something like vinegar in the water of the bowl until they stop doing it. Behavior modification.

Keep the door closed and lock it..
Teach them thats its not nice and then tell them where they get the drinking water from eg; Kitchen sink not the toilet..
Good Luck :)

they do have locks for toilets - if you are serious you must then realise that your child is at risk for drowning , it only take an inch of water- if you are kidding , yes, I have a sense of humor but the idea of a child in danger tweaks me out
