i am 16 years old and i have mustache growing on my face.my friends said not to shave cause it will grow more and they also said you will look macho and manly.tell me what to do and give your reasons

2. Don't worry about shaving if you want it gone. Every guy eventually shaves.

Well, do you rather shave and not have people know or do you rather have them see it while it's growing longer little by little? It is a tough situation. Sometimes I feel like I have a slight mustache so I tweeze them off. I don't think shaving is a good idea so maybe you can get one of those facial wax. Then in the future look into electrolysis where they laser the hair off for good. In the meantime, I suggest you get rid of them by using some sort of hair removal cream for your face. There is no reason why you should leave them there. Do it and you will thank yourself for it.
Oops, I assumed you were a girl. Since you're a guy, shave it, leave it, it doesn't really matter.

Lots of women have facial hair. It's just more apparent on some if they have darker hair. I'm sure it can be a little embarassing though. I would suggest buying a home waxing kit, you can purchase one at sally beauty supply or lots of other beauty stores. Waxing is simple and easy, plus it will completely remove the hair from the follice as apposed to shaving. Shaving usually does result in thicker hair too. Waxing should give your face a clean surface for longer then a shave would too. Good luck.

We all start shaving sooner or later. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, shave it. Don't let others tell you what to look like. Macho is highly over-rated once you grow up.

normally when you shave, the hair tends to grow back thicker and darker. so if you don't like the thin and indistinct mustache look, you can shave it for a while and then wait for it to grow in thicker

My mother and others tell me the same thing. If you do not like it, cut it off then. Then you will be ok with yourself
