Old navy and Gap Kids are good. If there's a Giant Tiger (it's in quite a few Ontario cities) it's a great place for low cost, really current clothes. It has some great urban jeans and hoodies and shirts right now in childrens sizes.

International Boys was my staple shop when my son was that age. Winners is another shop I haunted every week for back to school clothes. My son is 14 now and wants clothes from value villiage and goodwill... he's into unique clothing. *lol*

Pacific Sun or Hot Topic for the Skater stuff
Up Against the Wall (topically for older kids)

But seeing that your son is only 8 you should really try department stores! Like Macy's, JCPenny and even Target. They usually have really nice stuff for young kids and prices are reasonable especially around this time. Just take your time and look through their clothes and he can probably get the look his looking for right in target or Macy's! Its called Mix and Match!

Good Luck

Kohls has great urban wear and is very affordable. My boyfriend has been shopping for his son their for years 6 - 13. The cool thing is there's almost always a sale on clothes.

Luckily for me his dad takes him clothes shopping :)

I would recommend Hot Topic, and Pacific Sunwear but I don't advise bringing your son to Hot Topic there are some clothes you probably wouldn't want your son wearing ie: T-shirts with hidden sexual connontations that you might not pick up on.

I'd recommened Kohl's. They have great quality clothes at affordable prices, even on shoes. Plus, there is always a sale going on. I know Kohl's has Tony Hawk brand clothes/accessories for kids.

Yes, Hot Topic or Pacific Sunwear (PacSun), though they may be a little much for an eight-year-old, and TJ Maxx and Marshall's.
