Jack, James, Jennifer, Joanne, etc.
Kasey, Katherine, Katie, Kim, etc.
Abigal, Amy, Aaron, Aiden, etc.
I find that kind of annoying, its not even original and it makes the children sound like some family group act.
All their kids have names that begin with the same letter, it just sounds silly.
Maybe I am just snobby, but I would never do that!
Why would people do that? Do they think its cute?

Bubbles: I can see why you did name your kids like you did. Afterall, you are a pot smoking mother.
Real classy.

There sure are a lot of things to be p-o'ed about, but this sure isn't one of them. However, considering your attitude, and your response to Bubbles, I'm not at all suprised it annoys you so.
Now that I know it annoys folks like you, I might just name mine like that. ;-)

I have known several families that named their kids all names that started with the same letter. I think they do it because they like the family to all have names that go together. None of the families I knew that did it lived in a trailer, actually they were well-off and well-educated people.
I also knew a family that had all girls and they are all "tracy stacy casey" type names, and personally I found that more annoying, but to each their own. Not my kids, not my business.
My kids all have classic and less common names, because I didn't want to be on the playground and yell my kids' names and have 27 kids all come running. LOL!
Only one of them has a name that is so unique I never met anyone with this name, but so far every single person who has heard it says it's the most beautiful name. Her nickname is not so unusual though. ;-)
Good luck with picking baby names that work for your unique family!

in my family growing up we are all "L" in the girl names and "M" in the boy name... it really doesn't bother me, but then when I had my own I didn't do that... there is a M, L, R, and an A, so we are all different.
For why it's done that way... maybe so large family wouldn't have as hard of a time guessing/remembering their childrens names... lol.
Really though, I think it's worse to name a child after the parent, give them their own name... not John Sr., John Jr., John III, (little John, big John), etc. that's awful... rolling eyes!

sometimes its cute if the names are cute and original or interesting. but sometimes if there confuzing like arianna and adrianna you get them confused. sometimes to many names with the same letters makes you wander how they come up with this crap. anyway. with my siblings i have a T name my sister has an A name and my brother has a D name. there all original and kinda unusual but every one comments on them. so in some ways its better to give your kids their own names, ya know

Why do you feel that it's any concern of yours what people choose to name thier kids? You're the one with the problem. We live in a society based on freedom of choice.

It is a problem when the mail comes and is addressed only with an initial and then surname.
My friend had the same initial as her siblings (R), and they where forever opening each others mail and getting at each others troahts.

i would not have dreamed to name them all the same first letter as it is just stupid and the other children have to then follow in the oldest child's name IT IS STUPID

In time they call different names anyway. Now that my kids are grown, I call my brother by my son's name.
