Is this ok or am I to permissive?

The last thing any kid wants is to be different or unique. They just want to fit in and be normal like every other kid. Why would you do that to your child? I don't get it.

I live wit my boyfriend of 3 years and we have 7 month old son...and my 8 year old daughter, also lives with us...we live in rented house and he is always late paying the rent...which is cheap...700.00 a month on a 3 bedroom(yeah, the roof leaks in the garage but other than that, not bad for the price), he is late on all the bills...we got the water shut off today, my boyfriend called and we are getting it put back on sometime today but this is how it goes.it's driving me crazy!!!!! i am so frickin stressed. he is still married but seperated for 5 years from this woman in australia, he can not afford to get a divorce which pisses me off...he is driving around with a suspended leicense that they will not renew for a year as he is a habitual offender so if he gets stopped, he will most likely serve time. i take care of our son all day by myself(he is very demanding and he cant even do the bills right with all the work he does. does anyone else deal with something similiar??

Question: please read VERY IMPORTANT to anyone that knows a child?

Details of Violation: McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Discovery Zone... Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews, grandchildren or friends with children. This will pertain to you too. As I read the following, my heart sank. I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people as you can. I cannot stress how important this is! This is very disturbing news. In addition to the following true story, I will also add that my own sons were playing in the ball pit at Chuckee Cheese one day. One son lost his watch, and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find the watch. Instead, we found vomit, food, feces, and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager and raised hell. Come to find out, the ball pit is only cleaned out once a month. I have doubts that it is even done that often. i will add more

PRETTY SCARY!! Hi. My name is Lauren Archer, my son Kevin and I lived in Midland,TN. On October 2nd, 1999 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong, he pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said "Mommy, it hurts." I couldn't find anything wrong with him at that time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point when I found a welt on his left buttock. Upon investigating, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment to see the doctor the next day, but soon he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head.

From there, we went to the emergency room. He died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off inside. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from a heroine overdose. The next week, the police removed the balls from the ball pit. There was rotten food, several hypodermic needles: some full, some used; knives, half-eaten candy, diapers, feces, and the stench of urine. If a child is not safe in a child's play area then where? You can find the article on Kevin Archer in the October 10,1999 issue of the Midland Chronicle.

Please forward this to all loving mothers, fathers and anyone who loves and cares for children! Don't think it's just McDonald's either or that this is something that just started. When my oldest son who is now 9 was small the area Burger King closed their play area for awhile for "remodeling" because in another town there had been an incident similar to the one described above that happen @ a Burger King. A little boy had been playing in a ball pit & started complaining of his legs hurting. He later died too. He was found to have snake bites all over his legs & buttocks. When they cleaned the ball pit they found that there was a copperhead nest in the ball pit. He had suffered numerous bites from a very poisonous snake. I wouldn't let my son play in the ball pit after that. I was lucky even though that wasn't at our Burger King or McDonald's it could have been. I still have my son. Please send this on so that it doesn't happen to someone you know. Please send this to everyone!!!!

I have been with my step daughter since she was 5 she is now 13. I have 2 children of my own both are grown and on their own. My stepdaughter is very decitful and manipultive. She lies to her father all the time to get what she wants. He takes her side no matter what anyone says including her teachers, myself, her mother, and her counsilors. She is becoming more agressive the friends she had will no longer hang out with her. She was expelled from school for good at the end of last yr. She is now living with her mother, she is mouthy, won't do anything you ask her to, refuses to do chores but expects money when ever she asks for it and all hell breaks loose if she's told no and her father continually lets her get away with it. Last week I told him I had had enough and I she can't come here anymore. I told him I also understood if he felt he had to leave. He sayed but now is saying that my kids arn't allowed here either. Do you think this is fair. They haven't caused problems.

For me, when a child is old enough to ask, he is ready for the answer. However, we should answer as simply as possible. Not giving any extra information she didn't ask for.

I'm very much in favor of the truth and have never heard any good reason to justify lying. Do you have those reason? What's your opinion?

I'm 26 and I have 3 kids... 8,4, and 2. It really feels nice and cool to be friends with them but sometimes I have a hard time doing reprimands when they do something that ain't right. Often i had to ask their dad to do that part. I'm worried that when they grow up it would be complicated and they would not listen to my rules anymore.............

I used to really like kids, but I dont understand why in the past 10 years or so, people dont decipline their kids. Any time I go to a store there are kids throwing tantrums, running around like maniacs and talking back to their parents. Are parents just giving up? When I was little I didnt DARE do the things that I see kids do in public...and the parents seem oblivious. Some parents just let their kids run wild. Why is this happening latley? Are kids running parents? This makes me really afraid to have kids.

I and my girlfriend have been dating for some time now. We often talk about the future and what we both want out of it. She wants children and I certainly want a son most of all. But I am afraid that my son will inherit my A.D.H.D. that I grew up with for many years. I don't want my son to have the childhood that I had.
