I think you are already taking the first step by being a supportive loving parent. Maybe try taking him for counseling to make sure this is what he truly wants before going any further. Good luck

My answer will likely not be well-received by you, but, I wouldn't help him. He was born a male. The Bible says God knew every hair on your head while still in the womb. He created and planned who your son would be. God doesn't make mistakes. Occasionally our bodies (mothers) makes mistakes and babies end up with serious disabilities or problems, but that isn't God's plan, that's consequences of things in our bodies. God designed him as male, and no matter what clothes, or gender he purchases to put himself into, he will forever be a male to God. And on judgement day, he will be in front of God to explain why he chose to throw away God's creation and 'create' his own.

Instead, I would help him by making sure he knew I love him no matter what, and I would help him by getting him some counseling, some help to figure out why he feels this way.

I would advise him to wait until he's an adult, and to be very, very sure. I wouldn't agree with the decision, but would love my child regardless.

Just support him, no matter what. Don't treat him any different, or love him any less.
