I am 16 and there are 3 kids I babysit and I pin them down and let them have it when they act up. I cannot hit them and they never listen. some people have said it is a good idea for them to smell my feet and others say its a bad idea...which is it?

Your Fired!!!! No way shape form or fashion does this punishment need to be done to these children. If you were babysitting my children and done a stunt like that you wouldn't have a job. A time out, taking away TV or games they like anything they enjoy, sitting on the couch for certain amount of time but never this. Physiological developments could come from actions of this nature. Please think what you are doing would you like someone to hold you down and smell their feet...well there you go. No No and No is the answer to your question. Have a Blessed Day....... Curious.

Are the childrens' parents aware of your activities?
This sounds like a very unpleasant form of punishment to me. Are you aware that under certain laws, you have a duty of care to to adquately maintain the welfare and well-being of those children and forcing them to smell your feet falls way short of that requirement. Now I don't know what the laws are in your country or state but where I come from you could very well be charged with assault of a minor (child) under whatever their respective ages are.
In short you are not fit to be called a baby-sitter and the parents should be informed of your activities and behaviour so they can take the appropriate actions against you.
If it were up to me you would be dismissed and you would be leaving my house in the back seat of a Police Car.

Sounds like a bad idea. Instead of making them "have it", just talk to their parents about the kids' bad behavior. Maybe they have some ideas about how to settle the kids down.

It's a bad idea, the best option is to give them a time out, one minute for every year eg. 5 years old, minutes time out etc... don't let them smell your stinky feet!

You are degrading the kids when you do something like that. Stop it.
Speak to the parents about the situation with the disobedience. Ask them what they suggest you should do when it happens again.'

Those children you babysit already have it bad to have to have anyone to babysit them at all.The parents should be taking care of them.Let me tell you this there is someone watching you.He is the one who made you.But don't forget he made those children to.You better take this as fair warning and repent.The things you do to them will fall right back in your face and the faces of your children and grandchildren.He will punish to the third and fourth generation of those who hate him.You are showing hate for those children and by doing so you are showing hate for your Creator.You are a child yourself.But you are not to young to understand what i just told you so get the hint and leave them alone!REMEMBER YOU WILL ANSWER FOR YOUR ACTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really should be careful doing any punishment other than what the parents have told you is okay. You never know when there is a camera watching you!

Sounds like to me your not fit as a babysitter.
If you was my babysitter....and i found out that you was forcing my kids to smell your feet as punishment...i will promise i would go to jail...due to i would whoop your 16 year old @ss!
1. Never hit/spank someone elses child...even they give permission...its not your place ever!
2. If you dont have patience pick up another part time easy job...deliver news papers.
