my son will be 6 mos tomorrow. He has one tooth that just came in. He isn't crawling, but he is doing the rocking thing. I cry sometimes because I hope I can raise him to be everything his father isn't. Stupid, huh? .

Being a mom is great! Of course, there are times in which you would like to throw yourself off a cliff, but for the most part, when you do your best, it is a very fulfilling role. I have a 2 and a half year old son and another due any day now; the two year old has gotten into this thing of screaming for no good reason at all times of the day (in fact he's doing it right now) and it makes me want to tape his mouth shut, but it'll pass as does every other phase. My husband and I always just enjoy looking at him while he plays, or sleeps, or acts out his favorite movie while he watches it, and we say to each other how amazing it is; this life we created. And it really is an amazing thing, he's a piece of each of us, and it's been the best thing ever to watch him grow, and learn, and know that there's more to come. The only times I've ever cried over seemingly silly things concerning my son was his first time at daycare. He had been with me almost everyday since he had been born so it was just an odd change for me. I also cried when he was first born because I was afraid of him getting sick because it was winter a.k.a flu season, and my little sisters had just gotten sick when we brought him home. Once again, though, it's been great so far; can't wait to see how he does with his new little brother.

I have 3 kids and wait it will get worse when my youngest went to 4-k I cried all day!!! My son (the oldest) graduated 8th grade and I cried he even gave the opening speech which was a big step (he's really shy with groups of people). It is a wonderful thing to be a mom and watch them grow up, enjoy every minute u have because the cuddling doesn't last forever unfortunately!!!! Good luck with ur son.

I think being a mother is GREAT!!! I have 7 children and of course they grow up fast too:)When I was 18 I delivered my first baby,a girl.Of course she grew up very fast.I wandered how can she be a baby the first days and then suddenly she became a little girl wh her own opinions!Sama for the other 6 kids.I'd say it's a great feeling being a mother. If I could take care of more children I'd have more children but I think 7 are enough:)

Get a digi camera and start scrapbooking, take pictures, lots of them.
My son joined the Navy last year and I was a blubbering idiot for about 2 months. Being a Mom can definitely have its ups and downs, but when you have a great up, like when I saw him at his graduation from Boot camp, I sure forgot a lot of the downs.
He is 20 now, a fine young man, but will always be my baby.

Being a mom is the most wonderful thing that has ever and will ever happen to me. If you think it's bad now with your baby being so young, it gets worse as they get older. I look at my kids and can't believe how fast they have grown. I have three 16,15,and 10. I miss then being little and wish I could turn back the clock and do it all over again. My best advice to you is to enjoy ever moment and every milestone as they come because they are only little once.

I don't have baby fever anymore, but then my "baby" is 12 and tells me to not call him a baby anymore!!! My oldest is 16, and a junior in high school, we're starting the serious college searching now.....she'll be gone in less than 2 years. THAT makes me cry. I don't know if being a mother is greater than sex, but it's a wonderful thing. I love my children with all my heart.

I never used to even like babies but once i became pregnant it was like every baby that past me caught my eye no matter how old they were & i just couldnt wait to have mine! Now have what i call 'my new baby' also even though he is only 6 months old (it goes so fast!), but he had a very hard start to life and is a special needs baby but he is just amazing and it just gets better every day, they told me he would be challenged but as far as i can see he is just perfect!

Wait till you wake up one day and he is 7 and you don't know where the time has gone. I have 7 y/o twins and it is all going way too fast. I am a single mum and it is the best thing I have ever done in my life
