getting rid of a child?

my girlfriend doesnt like my son, and to be honest, i can live without him.
he's 6 years old, which seems young enough not to know who his real parents are, but old enough that i dont feel guilty for abandoning him.

do i have to get my wife to sign something in order to put him up for adoption?

I am not sure how you could live with yourself even making the comment you can live without him? at 6 years old your child will go to a foster home... and he will REMEMBER what you have done.... also is it your girlfriend or wife wanting to do this? If you have both then let the wife have the child completely and walk out of its life as it will be better off without you and if they are one in the same don't either of you have a family member that could take care of the child? Or you may look at www.adoption.com and find a family for the adoption and yes both parents have to sign off parental rights to the child.

He is 6 and you want to get rid of him rather than get rid of your girlfriend. What is wrong with you? Just because you can make a kid doesn't mean you should be a parent. You are a horrible person willing to just throw away a defenseless human being for the sake of your own wants. You are selfish and not thinking about this poor boy and how traumatized he will be. What's wrong with you? At age 6 a child's personality is formed and they are way smart enough to know what's going on around them. How in the name of GOD can you just blythely say you want to give your son up for adoption?!Do you honestly believe this child won't know he's been abandoned? Are you truely brainless enough to believe that a 6 year old doesn't have the capacity to know who their parents are?! Think back to when you were 6. Would you remember your parents if they abandoned you at that age? I think so. You're an idiot. You don't deserve to be in that childs life. He does know who his parents are. Do you think he's stupid? He needs his daddy more than anything. Do you even realize what kind of impact this kind of decision on your behalf is going to have on him when he gets older. He'll have feelings of abandonment, resent, hatred, low self-esteem, etc...must I go on? What kind of woman is so selfish she doesn't want a part of you to be a part of her? YOU CANNOT CHOOSE SOME WOMAN OVER YOUR CHILD. But to tell you the truth, if you don't want him, he's probably better off with someone that does. Don't you have a family member that will take him? You know what the system is like for abandoned children, do you really want to subject him to that?

You know that is really hurting even to me. My son is 7 and yes he does know WHO HIS PARENTS ARE. A child needs both of it's parents whether the bit ch can deal or not. That is your baby, your flesh and blood.

But yes you can sign over your parental rights if that is what you want. That means that you don't have to any visitation BUT THE STATE WILL NAIL YOU FOR CHILD SUPPORT AND THEY DON'T DO IT KINDLY. SHE WILL GET THE MAX AND YOU HAVE TO PAY IT. PARENTAL RIGHTS OR NOT. So go ahead choose the bit ch and pay the support. Max can be up to 25%-28% of your wages A WEEK
