There is nothing better than a lovable hug from your children, I'm wondering when they will be to above that!

Privately, never! Publicly, about 8 or 10. They return to you about 18.

With both of my kids, aged 12 and 16, they were pretty much done with the hugs at about age 9. My daughter (12) will come up to me every once in a while for a hug, but my son never does anymore. It's heartbreaking at times, and I would love to still sit and rock them both, but it's impossible since my son is now 6'4" and has more leg length than I could possibly ever fold up to be able to fit him on my lap! My advice to you is to enjoy every hug and snuggle while you can because they get too old for it before you know what happened!

Why ask that question? Its all in you and how much love you have given your children. The more love you give the more you receive. It is the greatest feeling of all knowing how your children express their love for you.I have a 17,16,15,9,5, & 3 year olds and sometimes I can't even breath from them hugging and not to mention all slimy kisses, but thats what you call love.Don't ever let a day go by with out telling them you love them (kiss & hug too)no matter what age they are. You don't want to regret it later.

My daughters are 19 and 13 years old and still give me the biggest and best hugs in the world. My son 20 years old was never one for hugging.

It varies a lot from kid to kid. One of my nieces stop wanting to for like 3 years between the ages of around 6 and 9, but likes them again. I know I wish my mom was still around for me to hug, and I'm 23.

My son is 16 and we still will cuddle on the couch and watch movies together! He still tells me he loves me everyday and before bed every night. I can still get lots of hugs and kisses but NOT IN FRONT OF FRIENDS! lol

I'm 60 & still want to give my parents "snuggly hugs", even moreso than before.
