Do mothers ever cry when this happens?

2006-08-22 02:28:00 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

Just getting to work this morning, kinda sleepy, drinking my first cup of coffee. I had to drop off my oldest at school, (He's 5.5) rush to work, didn't have time to stop for breakfast. Got to answer a 65-line switchboard. So, who all works in an office? Do you like your job? How long have you been there? Do you like your boss? Just feeling nosy this morning!

Why it seen as OK for the state to insist that a man moves away from his family to find work but they would never expect a woman to do the same. And if you say that you're not prepared to stop seeing your kids twice a week you may be deemed "unavailable for work" and not entitiled to JSA ! Don't chaps have equal rights to be part-time workers and part-time parents?

I would just like to hear how your children are doing.... Scholars? Athletes? Adventurers? Slackers? I'm curious about results. I always hear the pros and cons breast feeding vs. bottle, but never any results.

I am wondering if anything to worry about in bottle feeding our child after only 3 months of breastfeeding. Please I am not really interested in politics, just curious if the children are doing good, are they smart? Leaders? Followers? Brats? Spoiled? Anything. Mostly looking for parents whose children are at least 6 and up, longer term results.

I'm quite sure the answers lie in the parenting and how you educate your children, but I have this anxiety to find out if any indifference or clues. Does this make sense?

This question is mainly about the term all (if not most) of us have heard growing up, that you can't judge a book by its cover, that beauty is only skin deep, and that it is in the eye of the beholder.

I was a child once, and I hope to have children and a wife someday, When I was a child if someone told me that it was impossible to do something, I tried my hardest to prove them wrong, and sometimes managed to lose the point of what I was doing it for. I've done this many times in my life, and even today I see young men and women that only date/have fun or sex with each other because there attractive (and yes I DID ask), and I see more young people today showing more skin and *** then ever before, anyway, although I do try not to "lust" at people just because of their looks, I have somewhat of a habbit of doing it, not that I persue it. I've been single for about 4 years and 3 months on the (25th of aug).

Anyway, please tell me why you chose the answer you did.

we have a 14 yr.old girl and 11 yr. old boy that are mine,my son lives with me,my daughter is living with her dad because she don't like my rules, my bf has an 9yr old boy, and 6 yr. old girl that stays every other weekend. this is are main arguement, on what rules and what is age approriate, he feels I spoil mine and I feel he spoils his, which he doesn't make his kids stick to the rules like he expects mine to, mine are older but they aren't use to all these rules, I just moved in with my bf a few months ago and this seems to be are main issue.some of his rules are a bit much, i want my kids to feel at home but they wer running all over me and now my son listens really good. My daughter couldn't handle having to help (1)chore a day per kid, picking up after herself, use manners, no arguing with me,etc. and so she went to stay at her dad's. We CAN"T AGREE ON PARENTING OR RULES, we did but he isn't upholding the same rules for his, i'm pissed about it and so is my kids. HELP!!

Ghandi's grandson Arun often speaks of a time he drove his father into town and was supposed to have the car serviced while his father went about his business. Arun had agreed to pick his father up at 5 pm. When he showed up 1 hr late his concerned father asked what happened. Rather than admitting he had lost track of time at the movies, Arun said it took longer to service the car than expected. Little did he know his father had already called the service station and learned Arun had left with the car hours earlier.

Catching this lie, Arun’s father asked, "What have I done to raise a son who would so easily lie to his father?" As an act of penance his father decided to walk home, 18 miles! No matter how much Arun apologized and urged his father to PLEASE get in the car, he could not get him to change his mind. Arun felt so badly that he never lied to his father again.

This is like canceling your much-anticipated vacation b/c a child misbehaved -- who agrees this is effective?

place him into nursery whilst I work.I only work part time,he's nearly 2 years old and the health visitor has said it would benefit him to interact with other children more.Ex claims I am being unreasonable and if I put him into nursery he will file for sole custody of our child.Am I being unreasonable?Because his dad has moved back to his parents my son is spending more time in their house than he is mine, its like our home is his part time home.Is it fair of ex to threaten to go for custody of our son?

I am 25.5 years old. I have been with my wife (dating and marriage) for 5 years.

We planned to wait another year before trying to conceive, but I want to start sooner.

I see babies everywhere and I get happy at thinking of becoming a dad one day.

My friends have children and I spend time with playing with them and I go home thinking about how lucky and happy they are to have children.

Hopefully my first child will be born before I turn 27.

Is this normal for a man?

My daughter completely fights taking her naps and has a temper tantrum. I have extended her awake time, but if she stays up too long she is overtired and then has a meltdown. I have tried singing to her, darkening the room, rocking her, letting her cry(which doesn't last long bc I feel bad since she gets so worked up)...you name it. I know she is tired, so she needs her sleep, but I don't know what else to do?
