We got him and already had red eyes...they told us that his sister's eyes were worse and it was only about 3 days since it had started. Puppy is 3 1/2 months old and they were giving him drops when we got him and they told us this also.

When we got home, we realised that they didn't give us any eye drops nor tell us what kind they were on...we called and they said not to worry about it as they only had given drops for a couple days to clear up the redness. Now, puppies eyes got better the second day and weren't red anymore. However his eyes are red and lots of discharge, we have to clean his face at least once a day...it gets all hard and crusty & it's light brown or slighty yellow.

We have a vet appointment on Friday morning to get final shots an rabbies vacc but I want to know what we can do at home in the meantime?

If your dog's health is in question, SEE YOUR VET!! If you don't like your Vet, find another one. If it is a training issue or behavioral problem, find a local training group\club to join. You can't train your dog over the internet, you need a real live expert. You also need to constantly, and consistantly train your dog. Even after the class is over. If you can't commit to these simple ideas, stop buying the dog because he\she is "cute". That's my $.02

She is very obedient, but i had trouble with her pulling on the lead. I was avised on here to get her a haltie, i did, it works wonders with regard to walking, she is so much better. The problem i need help with now, since putting her on the lead with haltie, now and again, she goes nuts!! when another dog passes us. She did it this morning, another Border Collie was over the other side of road, she went mad!! jumping, barking, growling, she got the haltie off her face. I was so angry, i was very firm with her, made her sit!!! eventually, got the haltie back on her, but how do i stop her doing this? She is so good otherwise, apart from the fact, my hubby spoils her, when i am training her, he interrupts, and pets her, so she then ignores me. I have to tell him to butt out, as i am trying to get her totally disciplined, and she is my dog, he did not even want a dog. I am getting so frustrated, i feel like the big bad wolf, for wanting to train her, i do not want an unruly pet.

I have a 12 week shihtzu/maltese puppy.

I need to limit the morning feedings of this puppy because he is having accidents in his kennel.

So how about this - I feed him 3 times a day but I portion it.

So that he gets 1/2 of what he normally gets in the morning. A normal portion in the afternoon and the other 1/2 from the morning at night?

Would that be okay?
I also feed him treats at training but I try to limit it to just 10 or so small pieces.

I have two greyhounds, male, 4, and female, 10. He starts eating at his bowl but then gathers it up in his mouth and carries it around the house to eat it. Food everywhere! Does it whether female is near him or not (thought she might be intimidating him - she's the dominant one) What can I do?
