I got this puppy almost three weeks ago, and she had a runny nose and cough. I went to the vet, she gave her some antibiotics (just in case, she said) after done with the antibiotiocs, I took her back because her cough is worst, still runny nose, she sounds like she is very congested, her congestion gets really bad late at night.

My puppy was prescribed antibiotics again, with no answer of what it is. I am really concerned because we are flying to MIA in a week from today for my wedding and I don't want anything wrong to happen to her while in the plane or due the humid weather of Florida.

Please someone help me, it is 5 am and I can't sleep, I just want her to be ok. Any feedback?

Koda had just delivered a litter of 4 puppies almost 4 weeks ago. Because of the weather (we live in a tropical island in the Pacific), we brought mommy and pups into our home and keep them in the laundry room with newspaper pages spread out on the floor. Koda developed a red rash on her belly and around her breast about a week ago. The rash started out like little specs of tiny red dots but now the skin color where the rash are look dark and it almost appears to look like eczema. Some parts of her skin are cracked just like the sympton of eczema but not too badly. She doesn't seem to be itching. I would like to apply a topical cream but I am afraid the cream will harm the puppies when they nurse from their mother. I should also tell you that the puppies do not have the rash. I am only guessing that her rash could be a result of the ink from the newspaper or a result from the change of food from Beneful to Pedigree. Does anyone have a safe remedy for mommy and puppies?

...It's too big for my apartment and it can't fit onto the balcony to have a dump. Do you think if I leave it out in the hallway one of the other people from the other apartments will take it in?

Based on the stories of mutulation, fatal attacks, as well as attacks on their owners, these dogs are just becoming plain scary. I believe Denver has a new law requiring PB owners, even those who have had their dogs for years, to give them up. I am concerned b/c we have an owner in our condo complex with two VERY large ones & they are NOT friendly. The owner walks them in our tennis court so nobody will "risk" being hurt, and this is posing yet another issue. The owner says "I pick up after him" as if this is the real issue here. Our by-laws specifically state "no pitt bulls" so we are in the works to have them out of here (they rec'd by-laws before they agreed to buy home, and did not tell us about the PB's). I have read accounts the REAL problem lies within the owner (not the dog). Ignorant owner; ignorant dog type of thing, you know? What do you think? Pet or Threat? (serious responses only as this is a serious issue - remember PB's have killed people & will again).

I have a 6 month old pup and during the day he is good , he sits at the back door if he needs to wee or poo....he won't cry to go out though.....if we leave it too long he wee's on the kitchen floor. Of an evening we let him out before bed and often during early hours of the morning when my partner goes to work but he ALWAYS POOS ON THE HALL FLOOR. We have tried all suggested tips like ignoring him when he does it inside & praising him when he goes out to telling him off for doing it indoors...................HELP, I'M AT A LOSS.

I know feeding table scraps (ie. chocolate, onions, grapes, etc.) to dogs can be very harmful to their health, but I often hear people feeding their dogs rice or vegetables. Is this safe? And does it benefit their health and diet?

i would like to be able to push a button everytime my dog barks to train him to stop barking, something that will either spray in his face or be enough annoyance for him to learn that everytime he barks, he gets sprayed or shocked.

Recently I noticed my dog having difficulty going around the house. However she finds her way by sniffing. Once when I came home she heard the gate open and probable smelled me and came to meet me at the gate. I however was able to go around her .Thats when I realized that she must have problem with her eyes as she keeps on sniffing at the gate and did not see me circle around her. I noticed that her iris have become somewhat cloudy(white) Does she suffer from cataract?

I have two male pits 'n I JUST DONT WANT TO GET RID OF ANY OF THEM. But one is very aggressive towards the other one, and is always trying to fight him especially when I'm around both of them. I don't know what to do, it hurts so much to see them fight 'n hurting eachother....It's just a night mare. I'm so confused that I can't even make a right decision on what to do with them :(
