Me and my boyfriend are looking into getting a dog soon and we have been thinking of rescuing a Greyhound. I'm a little curious to know what they can be like as pets and companions. I haven't been around many dogs but my boyfriend has been most of his life and hes really wanting a dog, I'm just wanting to know what I'm really getting myself in for lol

I have a golden retriever x that is approx. 14 months old (technically still a puppy). He is a wonderful family dog and very friendly, always wanting to play with dogs we meet at the dog park. However, lately I came across a rude dog owner that told my dog 'If you're going to play that way you can get out of here'. I was shocked because I have never had anyone complain about him before. My dog is NOT aggressive but is vocal when he plays. I find it frustrating to deal with owners that do not know the ways dogs communicate and play with one another. Both my dog and I love the dog park and I would appreciate any advice on how to deal with these type of owners. Thanks!

Miniature Bulldogs are a Nationaly recognized breed. The breed club is the Miniature Bulldog Club of America. You can visit them online at www.mbcoa.org. Some of the top Mini Bulldog Breeders in the country are MiniBulldogs.com, originalminibulldogs.com, gottilinesouth.com and bjpuppies.com. Standard Bulldog clubs do not like Miniature Bulldogs or Miniature Bulldog Clubs. The Miniature Bulldog or Mini Bulldog is a healthier breed of Bulldog. The standard Bulldog is a genetic mess. Our Veterinarian sad that the Standard Bulldog put his children through college, and he has 5 kids. He also see's Miniature Bulldogs and he rarely see;s the massive problems that the Standard Bulldog has. Mini Bulldogs are by far a better choice for anyone thinking about purchasing a Bulldog. They hare half the size, and healthier. Who can ask for more?

I have a small/medium size mutt... and we don't really go on walks. She has never been taught to walk on a lead, only to go potty while on it. I COULD teach her to heel, but, I am overwhelmed trying to teach her several other things. She is about 6 months old. We spend several sessions a day playing fetch, and I throw her toy far enough for her to run back and forth, and we stop when she loses interest. Sometimes if she gets wound, she runs maniacally around the living room for about 1 minute, and I let her do that as long as she doesn't get on the furniture or do anything else she's not permitted. I mean... how MUCH exercise is enough? Should I be doing more? She doesn't care for the outdoors (even though she's a beagle mix).

Her name is Mika and she is a 14 pound teckel (dachshund) I am really worried something is going to happen, like she will not wake up, or she will bleed, or she will die on the table..I do not know why I am thinking these things. I am really worried for her. She is my best friend, she is very intelligent, and so cute, and loving and proud. I am afraid of her suffering as well. She has never been alone and the vet wants to keep her two nights. He says they keep the animals one night before the operation so that the pets get use to their new enviroment and during the operation the heart rate is alot lower than pets that come in the day of the operation. Stress or something. I can not believe I am so worried. I know its best for her, (I hope) reduces the chance of cancer, unwanted pregnancies, etc..but I am terrified for her. Anyone ever feel the same way? What should I do?

He is a 4 month old Westie puppy, and he used to have all of his little wittle teeth growing it. A few days ago, I noticed an empty space. Now, I noticed that there are 2 empty spaces on top, and 2 empty spaces in the middle. Is this ok? And if not, what can I do to help him?

Im having a really hard time picking a breed of dog to get and I know that dobs and sheps are alot alike and mals are really diff from those other breeds so its been really hard for me to pick between them. I like the protective nature in the dobs and sheps and the easiness to train but I also like the personality of the mal and the independant nature they have. Ive been trying to decide for a really long time now since ive wanted a dog for awhile. PLEASE HELP!

He's such a sweet dog...but he's really territorial (or however you spell it) He wouldn't hurt anyone in this house but people come in the yard that he doesn't know he gets really mean. He's bitten a couple of ppl and he had to go to quarantine (sp) and stuff. I just want to know if neutering him would help he's already 2 years old so I dont know if that would make a difference or not. Help!
