I am lucky enough to own one of the last remaining Fila's in the country and i have been searching high and low to find others , but I am usually dissapointed as I never find a dog that is at best half fila. My dog is getting old and is out of the original dogs imported into Cairns. I wonder if any one else knows of any others. Would luv to hear from the wider community

We might get one that is 6 months old ; we're not sure if he is housetrained if he isn't should he be hard to housetrain? If it matters, we have 2 other dogs and 3 cats.
Thanks.

My almost six month old Chihuahua is displaying strange behaviour, she had a little bit of diarrhea today and was very upset at her own behaviour as she is already toilet trained. This evening she has wanted constant cuddles, and her tail is all the way between her legs and flattened. I am really worried about this change in a normally happy and active girl. Could this be heat coming on, or should I be more worried?

5 months ago I rescued a dog from the street. I treated him for diseases, trained him, etc, all in the purpose of finding him a home, because we have a cat, and we are in a flat. The cat never accepted the dog and we kept the rooms in the flat separated at all times. Plus, the dog was a large dog and he needed space, which we didn't have. On the balcony he kept barking, so we had to keep him in a room. Finally, we found a nice family with a house with a garden who took him. The kids love him and play with him a lot. He also loves them, although he cried when we went to visit him and he wanted to come with us. The only objective problem with them is the possibility to lose the dog, if they don't lock the garden door, or in the holidays, and I think they are not very careful, because they have already lost another dog this way. The problem is for the last two days that we gave the dog I keep seeing him in my sleep and crying when i am awake. I miss him too much. Should I get him back?

I have a Boxer puppy that I absolutely adore and I've only had her a week. However I'm concerned about her behavior being way to aggressive for a puppy. I know that all puppies go through the chewing and biting phase but this pup seems "mean". I've had animals all my life and know basically this is a phase she'll go through like all puppies, however I haven't had a puppy that gets more aggressive with every attempt to stop this behavior. I've done every thing I know and everything that's been suggested by the "serious" answers I've received from here on the question I asked a few days ago. I know these things do take time and believe me I want to give her all the time I can, however I am so worried about this puppy and her behavior that I'm wondering if this can be something she was born with like a "mean streak".

my daughter inlaw has a desexed female border collie about 12 months old. When she wants to take the dog for a walk the dog will just sit there to the point where my daughter inlaw becomes exasperated with the dog and gives up. My son on the other hand has no problem with the dog and she will do whatever he wants.

Is this normal? I only bought her today, and this is her first night without her mum. Could this affect her playfulness? How do Cocker Spaniel pups usually react to their first night in a new house? I know puppies sleep alot, but I'm just wondering whether it's normal or if she's sick.

I have a mixed breed, medium size dog. Her puppies are 7 weeks two days old. I read that on the net its ok to give them away at 7-10 weeks. Then I heard it should be 8-10 weeks. Will it hurt them to be given away at 7 weeks.

We have a pecan business and she may have gotten them from the boley pile she likes to play in. Will they hurt her? Should I take her to a vet. There were probably ten or fifteen in it tonight. Sometimes she likes to eat the crushed pecans on the floor of the barn...thats the only place i can think she may have gotten them.
Thanks for you info.
