He is 14 weeks old. We are using the pads, of which he only uses at night. He does not poop on them period.
Crate training was a nightmare, he would poop and pee in there anyway, and by time I got to him at 5am, he was covered in it. So now he is locked into my kitchen. I have to be ultra careful because I live on a Marine Corps base, and my carpet was new.
What has worked for any of you?
HELP!

My boxer came into heat for the first time on Saturaday October 21 and she is 14 months old. How long will she bleed for? I am only curious because she is like a little kid and she usally goes every where my boyfriend and I go and she usally sleeps in bed with me. I have tried those undies for dogs and they work. But she takes them off when I am sleeping. I hope it's over soon because I feel like I am punishing her by making her wear undies and sleep in her crate!

Just moved to a new house with a HUGE garden and I have 2 dogs-1 female-1 male (both neutered) wherever the female 'wees' leaves a brown stain that I do not know if there are any 'treatments' for. The male always covers 'the spot' but my lawn is getting wrecked! SERIOUS answers only please

I have a male rotti & he destroys every toy I give him.
I have tried bones (even pig heads) but he gets through them in 5 mins
He loved the doggy dongs but as soon as the food is finished he eats the dong in about 10 mins

I have another dog & they get along fine but the rotti steals all of the toys & rips them apart

Any ideas on what else I can try?

I ASKED HOW I COULD STOP LAWN BURN BY DOG WEE, AND USED ANOTHER WORD LIKE A MALE CHICKEN TO DESCRIBE WHAT I MEANT, BECAUSE MY PUP HASN'T LEARNT TO LIFT HIS LEG UP YET. HOW CAN SOMEBODY PUT ME UP FOR VIOLATION WHEN IN THE VETINARY AND NORMAL WORLD FOR ANIMALS ITS PERFECTLY OK AND IN THE DICTIONARY. HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE, THERE MUST BE SOME SAD PEOPLE READING MESSING AROUND ON THIS SITE. I AM QUITE DISGUSTED, ANYWAY THE QUESTION WAS HOW TO NEUTRALISE A DOG PEE FOR YOUR LAWN SINCE MY PUUPY HASNT LEARNT TO "LIFT HIS LEG UP" THEY SAID THE WORD I USED WAS PROFANE . LOADS OF ANSWERS AND HAVE U HAD THE SAME DONE!.AND THE SAD PERSON WHO DID THIS, I'M SPEECHLESS!

My big dog (standard poodle / american buldog cross) only barks when she percieves a threat to the house. I believe she's shouting "Get away, Get away from my house or I'll have you". She does this and then turns to me and vocalises in a tone that sounds almost questioning, as if she's saying "Daaaaad, come and look. There's people and they're near our house. Do something".

My jack Russell on the other hand runs round at random (not continually, just at random moments) barking. I think he's got Tourettes and he's shouting "f*ck off, f*ck off, hey you, f*ck off".
If you talk to him or sing to him, he will vocalise and hold a conversation with you sayng "wowooowowooowwwow".
I like to think he's telling me stories about his canine prowess and the things he, my wife and my other dog got up to while I was out at work.

Yes, I know this makes me sound mental.

I'm convinced my Jack Russell Terrier is actually a Tourettes Terrier.

She has had Deter tablets, but they don't work, and I clean it up straight away, but I don't want to go outside with her all the time.

Someone has been mutilating dogs and dumping them in a clearing near my home.
They have been gutted, skinned, and their legs have been torn off. We have found at least twelve dogs that have been done this way. I am an animal lover and acts of cruelty of this degree horrified me! I don't know why anyone would do such a thing to innocent animals.

This dog howls and yaps as early as 4.30am. This is far too early. I emailed my local envirnonmental health office and as I want to remain anonymous (I'm a single lady), I was told that there's nothing they could do, but that they'd tell the dog owner my problem. Nothing has improved and environmental health said and I quote, "your neighbour can't understand what the problem is". I then sent an angry email to my local MP (again, without revealing my identity) and they emailed back saying, "You have to give us your name and address, as we can't do a thing". Is this right?

I have a 7 month old pet dog. She is a shih tzu-poodle mixed bred. Since not all of her hairs are long, I wonder what could I do for her to have thicker and longer hair?

I had a tabby cat and later got rottweiler puppy. They got along together okay, but a couple years later, Trixie the cat died. anyway I tried bringing home another cat and they were good good at first but one day when no one was home Max killed the new cat.
I got another cat and told him not to kill it but he did anyway a week later. So I thought if I got another tabby cat like the first one that Max didn't kill that it would be okay. Well I came home today and found Max had killed the cat again. What can I do to make my dog get along with my next cat?

if a wgsd has all of the characteristics of purebreed-black lips, nose, etc. and is all white except for tan lining each ear (almost looks like "ear" liner drawn on-very thin), is it still a purebreed?

I have a 5 year old girl, a small lot and I'm not always able to get home in the middle of the day (althought i usually can). I prefer larger breeds. I prefer long hair to short and am looking for a middle of the road temperament. Not too hyper (black lab would not work), not too mellow. I've been thinking about a Leonberger, but I've heard that they really like to be muddy. Do you know of anyone that has a leo that doesn't get muddy, but is still happy?

Also been thinking about a Golden. There is an excellent breeder in town (just won best in breed at Westminster). I just wonder if a Golden would be too active, and be totally bored during the day when we're all gone.

The good news is that I'm getting a laptop for work and we just began using a VPN which means I can start doing more work from home.

If you've got other ideas, I'd love to hear.
