Just moved to a new house with a HUGE garden and I have 2 dogs-1 female-1 male (both neutered) wherever the female 'wees' leaves a brown stain that I do not know if there are any 'treatments' for. The male always covers 'the spot' but my lawn is getting wrecked! SERIOUS answers only please

we have a big backyard, and when we moved in we knew all that lawn would be hard to maintain..so we put a fenced area up about 10x10 feet and covered to ground with those wood chips, it took a little while but the dogs learned to go in there.

You can buy a product to ad to his drinking water to stop this problem. There called Dog Rocks. Try your local pet or produce store. If you cant find them, see if you can work out a wee pattern. Does he use the same spots? Pour some water on the spot he pee's on to dilute the wee and this will help save the grass too.

The only thing that you can do is pour a bucket of water on the spot as soon as possible after the event and so flush it through into the soil.

I had this problem with a dog and it turned out to be the food I was feeding him. As soon as I changed it the spots stopped.
It could also be that she is not drinking enough water.

theres no need to buy expensive products, a bucket of water over the spot works just as well.
