Well, without meeting the parents, and seeing their papers, there is no way to know that any dog is purebred.
However, the coloration that you mentioned is not an indication of any mixed breeding, as all are GSD traits..

Many years ago, German Shepherd breeders used to cull any white puppies that were born. Yes they were born to pure parents and both carried the recessive gene.
There was a lot of hoo-har about white shepherds having temperament probs, but that was probably caused by the lines that were used and the inbreeding that occurred. These days breeders breed for temperament as well as conformation

Yes, it is a purebred. You get whites occasionally in the breed. A friend of mine has a gorgeous 11 year old white German Shepherd and he is a wonderful dog.

yes, it is still purebred. being white is just a recessive gene that happens rarely - you're still getting the same genes for everything (for the whole make-up of the dog's body), it's just that the gene for coat color is not the dominant gene like usual. it's the same reason why you get white lions and tigers sometimes too.

There's NO SUCH THING as "purebreed"!
There are *PURE BRED* animals!
There ARE pure bred GSD that are white. It's a MAJOR/DISQUALIFYING ***FAULT***!!!
Reputable breeders CULL them.
