i got told that it was growing pains, but he is limping everyday although he doesn't seem to be in pain. should i be concerned.

I have not seen any blood but her genitals are HUGE. And she keeps 'bothering' with by licking and licking. Is this normal? Shouldn't I see some other symptoms?

My friend in the apartment's I live in told me this puppy wouldn't leave her doorstep and once I saw it I fell in love and took it home with me. The problem? The puppy looked like he was fat, but instead we realized he was bloated. He's had diarrhea since he's been here, the last two day's. He's got worm's, but not to the extreme and he won't eat like he did the first day we got him. He seem's to have all of the symptoms. I'm sad, because if he dies he will have been the 3rd puppy we've had to die from Parvo, in the past year. If he has Parvo what can you recommend? I don't want him to die, but I've done some research and it seem's it's not curable. I cannot afford a vet, especially right now. And another quick question.....Why do people take puppies/dogs to Wal-Mart and give them away knowing they are sick with this disease or worm's? That's sad, because I have children, that don't know yet, but will eventually. Help?

i keep reading suggestions from people stating you should use a 'crate' or 'crate training' to help train a puppy........ what is this exactly, ive never heard of it before.......

in my head im picturing a puppy being placed in what i'd call on old style milk crate.......you know the hard plastic kind that lots of parents had in their homes in the 80's, usually filled with kids toys etc. Is this what people are talking about?? .....but im confused bcos a few people have mentioned locking the puppy inside over nite and those old milk crates are open ended.

and where do you get these crates from??

or more like... making squishy noises like when a person's starving? I noticed an hour ago he was attempting to throw up but stopped so i shrugged it off. but now, sitting next to him, his stomach noises are making me paranoid and scared... what does this mean? do you think it could a possibility for something serious?

I have 2 dogs, but the little one who is 1 year old named Daisy is covered in ticks, literally, we got 200 off her this morning, ew!!

OK, I live in florida where it gets very hot. And he leaves his dog, who is a sweet tri colored lab/pitt mix out side in his dirty, and very smelly yard with out food and water. He has a dog house but the dog dosent know how to use it, and the only reason he has it is because animal control told him to buy one, and the dogs eye is very red and swollen, and is weeping, its been like that for months. nd he just recently got this cute little puppy out of the paper for free. And she is infested with fleas, and her tounge is very white, and I think I read somewhere thats because of the fleas? I have tried to help both. The lab mix I fed him secretly till at least till he was fat, and got the man to get a 75 foot runner from tree to tree for him. But I dont know what to do with the eye. I buy big dog biscuitts for my Dobie, and cure/pitt mix and I give the big doggie a couple a day and pet him. But He is extremly lonley.The puppy, I have given her a flea bath, but she has them again.

I've had my Pekapoo since I was 8yrs old, that was 16 yrs ago. It's just so hard to even think about putting her to sleep. I cry at the thought and I can't image actually going through with it. But I think it's time. She is just coughing a lot, she doesn't sleep at night because she is up coughing all night. She drinks a lot of water and currently is taking 3 pills a day for her heart condition and coughing. The pills were helping her at first, but right now they don't seen to make a difference. I know what my answer is..... it's time.... =(

he's a deep chested 100 lb dog. my vet has done blood work that shows nothing usually. his weight is ideal. he'll go a wk or two with no problems, then he could vomit for a few days in a row, before he's back to normal. when he's sick he vomits once a day, won't drink water and won't touch his food. (he never is bloated) acid reducers have helped somewhat, but he can't be on them long term. i just started giving him gastri calm, to soon to tell if it'll work. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

She is extremely loyal and territorial of me, she does play with a few dogs, but I always make sure she is supervised when doing this. She seems to be jealous and doesn't want any other dogs around me or her territory. What can I do?

Now that some cases of dry food contamination have been revealed I am afraid of all dog foods. My guys have been eating Eukanuba(premium dry dog food) since they were pups(now 12 years old).Tody I saw on the news that Purina and Hills Science diet have also had problems with some of their food. The dogs have to eat but I am afraid of feeding them bad food.

I bought a purebred basset hound today and am interested in finding a kennel, organization or association that will register her. Her parents are not registered, however. Is there anywhere that will register her despite that fact?
