I have a 10 month old b!tch who tried to 'hump' me! I couldn't believe it, i thought this might be male dog behaviour, is it normal for a female dog too?

I just took my dog home from Petsmart grooming. I asked for a bath, brush, and Flea and tick shampoo. I noticed he has been nibiling near his tail and has been licking it for 4 hours now. Then, I decided to pull his hair back and I saw two black dots. What should I do, my mom would be pissed if she heard that I let my dog in the house with fleas. I need good tip how to remove fleas from my house and my dog. Also, Should I go to petsmart and complain?

I have a 6 y/old chocolate lab and she is a loving dog around myself, family, friends and my two huskies but when other dogs come around she becomes very aggressive towards them and I am afraid to walk her because of this problem. If I could I would always bring her to a dog run but I cannot and it is frustrating because I know she is not happy. I need help, anyone have any tips.

I had three male dogs, all neutered & attended obedience class. Lately I noticed my two labrador retrievers (littermates, 2 1/2 years old) starts figthing for no reasons. The leader of the pack is my black lab but choco lab starts showing aggression, grawling & that's how they starts fighting. As in they want to kill each other. My black lab is badly beaten & had some wounds. They used to like each other, snuggling & sleeping together. I can't bear the thought of giving away one of them. Any help??

I am really on the fence about this. I have an almost 5 month old male yorkie. He currently weighs a little under 5lbs. His father was 4lbs, his mother was a little over 6lbs. He has the best temperment. He's a very calm dog, he doesn't sit and shake or anything like that. Even my father likes him, and my dad doesn't like little yappy dogs. My mom says not to fix him because I could always breed him out (he has ACA papers) and she says you only really need to fix the dog if he is really hyper and marks constantly - and my dog isn't like this. My fiancee says to do it. He says it's the best thing for the dog. The vet just assumed that it would be done. It will cost $170. But apparently it's a new improved lazer that has a fraction of the recovery time and fewer complications. And I have heard that it's hard on small dogs to be sedated. Any advice? Real advice please. Not just random comments about random things - thanks!

Our family dog started howling frequently about a week ago. Before that, I had never heard our pet of 10 years do this. He is about 14 years old, but is still healthy (as far as we know). His howl sounds like a moan or cry, but when you approach him he is completely normal and friendly. He only seems to howl when everyone is in their own room or gone and he is in the living room alone. Sometimes it seems like he is just testing his vocal skills, but I'm not sure. He also cries when he is scared or when he begs, and sometimes barks for attention, but this is something new and different. Is this normal or a sign of something?

Anything you all can tell would be great. We have a 4 year old daughter and a friend needs a home for her min pin. He is one years old. Our daughter is a very mild mannered girl and never aggressive with animals.I obvisiouly would not leave her unattended with the dog, so that is not a concern FYI. Do you think he would be a good fit for a fam w/ children, any info on the breed would be helpful!

He is a 1-yr. old pit bull-very cute! But he is very lazy, most of the time he is laying down-just once in a while he'll get bursts of energy and becomes a crazy, playful dog; but other than that he'll just sleep and he wont even bark at all! (he'll only bark when he's desperate-like when he sees a cat)

I don't understand why the dog hates the crate so much when we are not home . He litterally has destroyed his crate and continues to do so when he is in there and noones at home. We have tried everything we have even padlocked it because he was getting out and he just trys to pull the bottom of his metal crate in . What can i do to maybe prevent this ?
