Pugs and Boston terriers get along with all other critters..Also, most of the toy breeds including lap spaniels, such as Cavalier King Charles.

I have a Labrador Retriever and a Lhasa Apso. Both are very friendly and are cool with birds, cats, and fish. However, I taught them socialization skills and conditioned them to be used to other animals.
If you want a nice, socialized dog, train it. Spend 5-10 minutes every day training it. Give commands, make them do it, and praise them whether they did it on their own or you made them do it.
Be firm and in control and the dogs will adore you. Any dog can be conditioned to behave in mixed company. It depends more upon you than the dog.

Labs are the best. But they don't realize their size and will play roughly with adults. But are know to be exceptionally gentle with small things. They can be tought to be gentler. If you want it to get along with a cat get a puppy and raise it with the cat. Fish and birds wont be a problem. The dog wont be interested in fish. And dogs have very sinsitive hearing and when the bird sqwaks at him it will hurt his ears and he will learn to stay away from it. Hope that helps.

I have a golden retriever and she is the most friendly dog I have ever seen. She is so good and always listens to all the commands I give her. She loves people and she loves to play with other dogs ... and my cat :) Everybody loves Daisy and she is one of the best dogs I have ever seen or had. I would highly recommend a golden retriever.

Omg you HAVE to go for a labrador because they are one of the most friendlyest breeds on the planet. and im not just saying that!
Any way I had a labrador for 13 years until it got cancer =( and next monday i am buying a new one! =D cant wait,
labradors are the best because they DONT bite, some bark but most dont, they love to connect with other animals, they like to live with other house pets, they LOVE to run and fetch and their eyes are sooooo cute!!
so well i hope u get one because you cant go wrong with them!

Yorkies. I had a babysitter for my yorkies that had birds and I have fish. My yorkies (3) and they have never messed with either. I have also had them around cats and they weren't bothered by them either.
