My 8 month old Yorkie keeps rubbing his head on the couch, the floor, and the bed. He was fine until last night, when i gave him a bath. What is causing this constant rubbing??

We've only had her a couple of days, and she came from someone who provided her a good home for the last 6 months but before that she apparently was put through a lot of abuse. She's a sweet, but timid girl, the only problem we've had is that she won't go near her food or water bowls, I've even tried switching to different colors and sizes, even just a small glass people drink out of scared her, I've stuck my hand in the water and let her lick my fingers many times, and she will eat the food if I pick it up and hold it in my hand or lay it on the floor, but if I try to put her bowl down close by her she gets up, backs away and starts whimpering. I've been giving her water out of dropper and she laps up rain water when we are walking but she's a 50lb dog and I'm concerned that she won't get used to her food dishes anytime soon. Anyone know what to do?

I bought a puppy from this pet store and I bought it as part pom/shih tzu. But when he grew up, he looked nothing like that and started looking more like he had some terrier in him. He is a small dog with big ears. Any ideas on what kind of small dogs have big ears?

She's a pound dog, got her when she was already 2. She's totally cool with people, but will pursue another animal with the intention to harm it (killed a rat, bit another dog). Is this natural for German Shepherds and is there anything I can do about it? I thought about getting another dog and just putting a muzzle on her until she calms down. Sound like a plan? She's really strong so it's hard to expose her to other animals out in public.

I have an 8 week old male German Shepard and he chews everything!!! The corners of the couch, cable wires and rugs..everything! I am home with him all day, and take him out for lots of walks...I also have a ton of toys for him, from soft stuffed animals to rubber bones..I have tried 3 different types of sprays (bitter apple ect.) and none of them work...It didn't even phase him...When I catch him chewing something he's not supposed to I give him a firm no..Please if any one knows a way to get him to stop let me know..I'm scared he is going to get electicuted from chewing wires (which I have tried to hide)....Thanks!

okay last time i posted soemthing but no one really helped im 13 my parents said i can get a puppy. i have 2 brothers one is 18 one is 9 we know if we get a dog w have to be calm with it and take care of it. in the summer i might be getting a siberian husky..german sheperd a big breed like that but not that big. my cuzin is also giving me a kittie but most of all i want a puppy but not a big breed because i ahve one but lives with my grandma im into small dogs like yorkies and poms the msot but i dont know which one is the best for me its to hard to choose please if you help me you will get points on yahoo the dog breed u pick please tell me a little a bit so ican choose not just by cuteness please dont say i dont like small breeds get abig bree but no thnx i dont like poodles so please dont reccomend thnx please help!

I know I should have asked this question first, however, I was very nervous when I signed up. So, this makes it my 2nd ? "Shorty is my minpin's name and was born w/"CHF". Gonna make this brief.Shorty's 2nd b/d was Feb.25, 07 as I previously stated for those that did not get a chance to view my question be4.He was given 6mos.to a year at that. Shorty takes enalapril, lasix and he has coughing spells. He cannot run much oustside cuz when he runs 2 much he will pass out. I left that out be4 by accident. Apart from that we give him "quality of life" like our vet said and I luv him so, so much.I have been reading these ? n ans.4 2 days now and its really depressing. I feel that he is not suffering for most part n I cannot put him to sleep.Although my husband is the 1 who takes care of him when he passes out or has a bad coughing spell cuz I freak out.Once again, I give him more luv than ne1 sometimes I think more than my hubby(lol not true) but I do luv him dearly. p.s. my 1st puppy

right after sunset if u go outside he runs around and hops like a deer. and he wont come to any of us. he just stares at the ground then starts running the hops.

Hello, I've seen so many websites with dogs being sold online, and how they can ship it to the nearest airport or you home, but how is the whole process, for example if its being shipped to your home? I've ordered so many things online and I get them delivered by UPS, FEDEX, but what about a dog, how will it get delivered??

my shepherd likes to play when free with other dogs but when he is on a leash or another dog trys to come up to him he hates it barks and goes nutty. We just got him and he is not neutered we think this is part of the problem and are getting him neutered..
