I don't like commercial "dog foods" they are full of contaminants and by-products and nastiness. I don't trust them. I feed my pups home-made, human-grade meals. I love this site and its cookbooks:

The only DRY food that's been recalled is Hill's Science Diet Prescription M/D Feline.
The rest is wet food.
The contaminated ingredient is believed to be wheat gluten, so as long as your food doesn't contain that, it's fine.

You're not the only one who is afraid. This link won't tell you what brand to buy or what to feed your dog, but it has a lot of information what to look for in dog food ingredients, recipes if you want to make your dog's food, and information on the Raw Food Diet. I hope it helps.

I feed my dog Wellness (http://www.oldmotherhubbard.com/). It can be found at Pet Supermarket. They confirm on their website that they are not affected by the food recall. It is very good food, and my dog loves it. I switched her off of Nutro to Wellness about 4 months ago, and I have been very pleased with it.

The Hills dry food is CAT FOOD ONLY.
There are no other dry foods that have been found to use wheat from the contaminated source.
