It was mostly a bunch of "wet food" varieties made by a corporation called Menu Foods. They make well-known brands like Iams, Nutro and others. Check their website for a list of recalled brands and varieties: http://www.menufoods.com/recall/
I just read that Hill's brand is also recalling their dry cat food, Prescription Diet m/d Feline. Apparently, the tainted ingredient is wheat gluten containing melamine, and Menu Foods uses the wheat gluten to thicken their gravies, and Hill's uses it in the above dry cat food.

To obtain a complete list of food recalled or to contact Menu Foods, either visit www.menufoods.com/recall/product_cat.html for cat food information, www.menufood.com/recall/product_dog.html for dog food information, or call 1-866-895-2708.

In addition to the list of foods and websites given by other answers, ALPO has been added to the list. This involves only canned pet food with specific numbers and best if used by date on bottom of cans. U can find this info at www.purina.com Beware of anything with wheat gluten listed in the ingredients.

All I know its in the cans of dog food, and pouches. and the only dry food it is in is the cat foods. When I went to the vet thats what they told me and my son. she said we can feed our dogs beef and rice, or boiled chicken.. just keep watching your pet for anything strange that they are doing. I feed mine ultra max dry dog food, I never give them the cans. they won't eat it.
