I have a yorkie. I keep the hair around his eyes trimmed but his one eye runs all the time. I rince the eye and that does not seem to help. And I have checked there is no hair in it. What can I do?

well, your dog could have a disorder where the eyelids turn inward and scrape the eye causing drainage. he could also have a problem with the tear duct.

talk to your vet or groomer about effective products to reduce the drainage from the eye.

My dog is a black and white border collie. She has the same problem even though she has no hair around her eyes. I took her to the vet and he said there was no problem. He could do surgery to drain the eyes but that would not solve the problem. He said to rinse them with a solution he had.

Is it mucus-like? Does it collect at the corners like...eyeboogers? If so, my dog had the same thing. We took her to the vet (She's a Sheltie) and they prescribed her eyedrops. Hopefully, what your dog has is similar and not something worse. My dog recovered in a week or two.

go to the vet to have it checked out as it might be an infection and your vet can give you something for it
