I am just wondering upon what experience and verifiable factual evidence you base your opinion of the general disposition and personality of so-called "pitbull" breeds such as the American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire bull Terrier, American Bulldog, American Staffordshire terrier, etc.
Do you base your opinion on inaccurate media reports that falsely label mixed breeds or other pure breeds as "pitbulls" (when in fact no such breed simply called "pitbull" or "pit bull" exists) that attacked people?
OR the genuine reports of irresponsibly owned and badly trained or abused pitbull breeds like the APBT attacking people ?

Or do you base your opinion on verified knowledge gained through personal experience intellectual inquiry and substantiated data?Have you actually ever raised a pitbull breed of dog, or known many individuals of each breed?or do you base your opinion solely on media reports and second-hand information?
No offense intended just curious of the origin of ur opinion.

We are watching a friends dog and we just got a puppy who still wants to nurse because it is only 7weeks old. She is always trying to nurse off of the older dog, and lately the old dog is letting her. We are wondering if the older dog can produce milk, or if it is just a pacifier comfort thing.

Do we ban all guns because people use them to rob and kill? do we ban gas, matches or lighters because they can be used to set illeagl fires? It makes no more sence to ban breeds of dogs because someone uses them for illeagl purposes or breaks the law by letting them run lose.

Our little Toy Fox Terrier, Benny, likes to bully other dogs when he first meets them... he won't bite or anything... he just barks and he may act like he will bite but he never does (he bluffs). We have to bring him to meet the dog we are applying to adopt but i am afraid that he will bark and then the shelter will turn us down. Benny will be fine after the two dogs spend some time together (he usually takes 30-40 min. and after that he is fine with other dogs) but i am afraid the shelter will turn us down thinking he is a vicious dog. Any suggestions. I'm thinking of taking him to the dog park before we go to the meeting and try to socialize him with some other dogs. Do you think this is a good idea? And what else can i do? The dog we are looking at adopting is a 2 year-old female chihuahua and Benny is a 4 year-old male Toy Fox Terrier. Both are spayed/neutered. They are both in the same height/weight range. Thanks!

Can I walk into a Store with my Dog (3 pounds) in a Hand carried Bag with only his Head out, if there is no sign which reads "NO PETS ALLOWED"? Of course... I am not asking about stores with groceries. I mean clothing stores, furniture or such not stores with any sorts of food!!
This is a serious Q. Please no stupid answers.

why is everyone wasting there money on stupid mixed breeded dogs now? i have nothing agaisnt a mutt but i sure the hell wouldnt want to pay 300 dollars for one. like a lab and a poodle makes a labradoodle, lol. or the million other mutts out there like puggles and things. cmon now there has been mutts for years from just dogs reproducing by accident that werent of the same breed and people would have to get rid of them for free, now they are making money off of them?? why? what is so popular about them all of a sudden, i think it is just a easy way for people to make some easy money. i got a purebred beagle and lab and id never let them breed to make a mutt just for some money, it is stupid, completly stupid. and if you buy one of these animals you are wasting your money because you could go to your local humane society and save a life of a mixed dog and at the same time save yourself 200 dollars.

I need advice from dog owners who have successfully stopped their dog from digging out of their yard. She has dug under my wooden fence repeatedly despite an expensive "invisible fence" system buried next to the fence. I have buried 8 inch deep boards around my yard and she still digs below them!! She is walked a mile daily, roams the park on weekends, has 2 other dogs in my home to play with and many toys to stimulate her while I work an 8 hour day. My neighbor returns her when she escapes but I am afraid she will be run over if she continues. Please advise. thank you.

My bulldog has a lot of boxer traits compared to my other bully. The one that looks like a boxer is tall, has much shorter hair but has the bull dog wrinkles and face, curly tail. I wonder if this is a mix as the registration states full blooded bully. He is 5 mo. and maybe he will grow rounder. Happy New Year To ALL!!
