My friend's got a Toy Fox Terrier that is really submissive. Every time we get near her she crouches down and piddles on the floor. It's almost as if she's petrified of us, however she's never been abused. She's going to take her through obedience training, but does anyone know if there's anything she can do to stop it meanwhile. And NO, doggie diapers are not an option. Thanks for everyone's help. If you cannot reply with a serious answer please do not reply at all, thank you.

Does anyone use Purina Second Nature Dog Litter? Is it ok to spray Bitter Apple Deterent on Litter to stop puppies from chewing on the litter itself? Do you think it would work?

I have a 10 year old jack russel terrier. I'm taking him to the vet this week to get his shots. He hasn't seen a vet in about two years.

I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. Anyone have any idea at what kind of bill I'm looking at? Thanks.

I have five chihuahuas. Three of them are 17 week old puppies. I just purchased Purina Second Nature Dog Litter. I put it down to try it on the puppies, and they seem to be more interested in trying to eat the litter than to do their duty on the litter. If they happened to start chewing on it and they swallow it , is it harmful? What can I do to get them to use the litter, instead of eating it? I just don't want them to get sick. Any suggestions? Thanks and Happy New Year!

My new pup has a cough and a runny nose so his vet gave him antibiotics. I read that I can give him echinacea. Would that be in tea form or a crushed pill? He looks pretty healthy overall and is still very playful.

We have a 17 week old Chihuahua female ,we named GiGi. She is a deerface, all white, except 1 ear is brown and the other ear has little brown freckle spots on it. Do you like the name GiGi or should we change it to something else. I was thinking, Cookie, Dixie, Daisy, Ginger, Gidget, Baby, Bubbles, Scarlett, Shadow, Barbie, or Bashful, because she is very shy. Do you like any of these, or can you suggest some others? Thanks! Happy New Year!

Here's my situation...Four years ago our German Shepherd died of old age (17 yrs. old). We finally decided, after alot of discussion, to go to one of the local shelters and try to find a young German Sheperd to raise. We were told that it would cost $95.00 to adopt a large breed dog (puppy or adult). I know the cost covers the shots and neuter/spay, but why so much? This local animal shelter has very little turn-over, and they are always asking for donations to feed all the dogs and cats they are housing. I asked them if it wouldn't be better to lower the adoption fee to be able to get them adopted out and they said that if a person can't afford the adoption fees then they can't afford a dog! I totally disagree with this. There are alot of good people out there that would love to own a dog but can't afford the huge adoption fees. It seems that if more of their pets were adopted, they wouldn't keep having to raise money to feed them. What do you think?

Is anyone here a breeder located near northern California? I am also interested in Newfoundlands, Mastiffs, and Old English Sheep dogs. If anyone has experience with any of these, let me know! We have a toddler and I'm looking for a pup!
