The only time a dog/puppy's ears are hot is when it's running a fever. They don't run a fever when they're teething!
Look out for other unusual behavior/signs, and getting it check out by a vet as soon as possible.

Dogs cannot sweat, so they expel body heat by panting and through their ears the pads of their feet... so hot feet is not something you need to be too concerned about. If you're worried, take the dog's temperature (rectally). Anything over 102 degrees means the dog has a fever, but if it's around 101 that's normal.

Have you noticed the animal sleeping more often. Is animal less active. Look at the animals face, do you notice a depressed/sad look. Inspect eyes and nose, Do you notice watery eyes or nasal drip.
If your dog is sick it will show the signs of inactivity and sometimes a depressed look. I'd monitor for a couple of days, nothing to panic about but hopefully in a couple days the temp will go down and your dog isn't showing any of the above signs. If condition doesn't improve or gets worst I'd call a vet. One last thing, is your Dog's shots all up to date?

My 2 year old pitbull ears always feel hot. I've had her checked by the vet and there isn't anything wrong. It's just her ear temperature.

probably dehydrated, give the pup plenty of water and icecubes to lick.
Put moisture in your air if the pup is indoors,
Wipe the pup down with apple cider vinegar water or olive oil.
It may be a teethin fever
